Effective marketing is about what’s right for the client and their target market.That’s why, before we suggest any solutions, we bang our heads together and spend time getting to know the client and their business. We work hard to build effective creative solutions for a brand or service, through traditional and ambient means of engagement.

The marketplace is constantly changing and we pride ourselves on being up to date. So while the rest of the business community grows, so do we. We have and continually invest in the right equipment and skills to meet the needs of our clients. So when we forecasted an increase in digital media spend in 2009/10, we made sure we were ready to cater for those services, to date we’ve sent out over 50,000 e-shots and with clients like Polypipe that figure is set to be over 100,000.

Francis Ball Chairman and Retail Director Francis Ball, previously Managing Director of Costco Wholesale UK, now Chairman of The Federation of Wholesale Distributors, adds invaluable retail expertise to the team and reinforces our credentials as a major creative agency.

Moray NewberryManaging Director Moray Newberry has 25 years experience as a Marketing Director on the client side before starting Monitor Creative in 1993, giving him a sympathetic understanding of clients needs.

Ric GibbsConsultant Creative Director Richard Gibbs heads the creative team and has over 20 years experience in design and advertising, recently having won an award for best website design at the SUN (Shot Up North) Awards.

Client: Glyn Smallwood Upholstery

They wanted… to increase their business but realised they needed to strengthen their brand image in order to achieve this. The brief was to create an identity which was simple, understated and communicated tradition and quality. We were also asked to design their new stationery and printed postcards.

We created… an identity that is understated and contemporary, elevating their brand position and helping them towards achieving their goals.

Client: A D Brown Upholstery

They wanted… to reach new customers and set themselves apart from the competition. With a small budget and an identity that was much in need of a refresh we pitched our concepts to rebrand the company.

We created… a new logo in keeping with their current name and a great strapline to help position themselves in the sector. We designed a simple, sophisticated yet structured website that acts as their marketing and selling tool whilst demonstrating their expertise.

They wanted… a new brand identity incorporating an up-market, expensive and classic feel, featuring the ampersand as a prominent part of the design.

They wanted… to increase the visual impact of their website; engage visitors, showcase individual bars and events and the addition of an online booking system for all restaurants.

We created… a website that answered their brief but we also threw in a new strapline… all together different.

They wanted… to bring their communication materials bang up to date and reflect both the modernity of the business as well as their traditional family ideals of quality and value.

We created… Impulse 09, a brochure crammed full of household brands who work in association with Fredericks and whose brand values are reflected in the products they produce.

They wanted… to make a splash at the International Annual Conference of Ice Cream Wholesalers.

We created… ’I’m an ice cream distributor get me out of here’, based on the ever popular celebrity version, which included door signs, goody bags and t-shirts.

Client: Thomson AssociatesChartered Surveyors

They wanted… to bring their corporate ID up to date, develop a communications strategy to increase awareness and build business in targeted sectors.

We created… a new logo and corporate style which stands out from their competitors whilst retaining the integrity of the business. The rebranding was then reflected in a new search engine friendly website and we also handled a telephone recruitment campaign gaining appointments in targetedindustry sectors.

Client: Mondo Foods

They wanted… new packaging for their Cheese & Broccoli Quiche which had been delisted from Costco.

We created… new packaging design incorporating original photography that portrays the quality of the product and its ingredients, resulting in much better shelf stand out. As a result the product was relisted at Costco at the next review.

Client: Preventry

They wanted… to relaunch the company, creating a new identity to overcome the stigma attached to security companies and demonstrate their expertise in contrast to their competitors.

We created… a new name with bold branding, refreshed copy and new photography thatdemonstrates the products in action on a new look website.

Client: Encounter

They wanted… to develop a targeted communication device aimed at the hard to reach independent convenience retail sector, delivering measurable results. Cost sharing between a number of manufacturers created an opportunity to communicate with this lucrative sector on a cost effective basis.

We created… a piece of syndicated, interactive direct mail presented as a magazine; mailed quarterly. Issue 3 delivered exceptional response rates of over 5%.

Client: Polypipe

They wanted… to develop a portal to act as an introduction to the group, incorporating navigation to individual company sites whilst working alongside tactical brand / product sites. All sites required CMS capability and SEO.

We created… a new search engine friendly website hierarchy with manageable content throughout. The tactical sites work within corporate guidelines but have the capability to function as stand-alone sites.

They wanted… a new international site for Polypipe Gulf, a trading division of Polypipe Limited established in 2008 to develop business across theMiddle East.

We created… a website which utilises 3D CGI animated fly-ins triggered by interactive information buttons.
