EnglishPersuasive Writing Activity: My Favourite Book Ever
Book reviews are all about what you thought of a book. They don’t tell just the story, and they certainly don’t give away the ending. Your sentences could begin with:I thought … I liked when … My favourite part was when … I found … I didn’t like … Ilaughed when… and so on.
When you start your review with these sentence starters, you know you are talkingabout what you thought, not just what happened.

Cloze TestThis cloze test is all about ants! We’ve made it a bit trickier by taking out 8 words. This is called a cloze test. Read through the words first and make sure you understand them. Then, read through the article. Make sure you think about the best place to put a word, not the first place. Careful as you go, as some words may fit in a few places, while other words will only suit one place.
