Who was Alexander the Great?Alexander the Great was a king and great military

commander who conquered an empire that stretched across three continents (Europe, Africa, and Asia).

He fought a lot of battles, which means that lots of people died. He was also unable to see everything that was happening after an area was conquered.

He blended Greek, Egyptian, Persian, and Indian cultures (Hellenistic cultures). He encouraged scholars from each area to learn from each other. He also encouraged his armies to marry into families of other cultures.
