developed throughout this book. Thoroughly explain the allegorical connections to the Russian Revolution / Stalin era and support with evidence laid out in this excerpt from Chapter Six. Write a response using your understanding of the word choice and details revealed in the passage to present your opinions about what George Orwell is trying to get the audience to understand about the theme in the novel.

QW – Which Animal Farm character is the most important? Why? Use evidence (specific reference to the book – doesn’t have to be a quote)to back it up.

O Seat 4 – Appearance (What does he look like? Physical description/personality)

BODY BIOGRAPHY O Body Biography of your character
O Select different segments of the body, quotes are required (3
per person)
O #1 person - Head: Thinking and analysis
O #2 person - Spine and heart: Important accomplishments and what is most
important to them
O #3 person - Legs: What they stood for (beliefs)
O #4 person - Arms and hands: Good and bad qualities, work that they did or
didn’t contributed
O Argue: Why is your character the most important character? You
must thoroughly explain the connection between your character
and the Russian Revolution, and defend why it is the most
important. You must also predict what would be the best argument
against you, and counter why that argument is wrong with your best
support. You can do this in a bullet (list) format instead of writing a
paragraph.
O You will also create a 6 Word Memoir and write that (about your
character) on your body biography.
BODY BIOGRAPHY Clean Up process
O Put signs back on the blue table
O Leave the handouts at each table (2)
O Stack body biographies (with your name on it)
on the desk in the back of the room.
O Return art supplies to their boxes.

Friday February 26, 2016 Peer Feedback – Trade papers with shoulder partner and read
his/her close reading response. Write specific feedback
regarding these focus areas on his/her paper:
1. Does the author address every aspect of the prompt?
(Allegorical connections to the Russian Revolution / Stalin
era supported with evidence. Theme from the novel –
explained.) Is everything thoroughly explained? Please give
specific feedback if any portion of the prompt was not
addressed.
2. What grammatical errors do you see? (spelling,
punctuation, sentence structure) (Varied? Confusing?)
3. How is the paper organized? Do their ideas progress
logically?
