Why are we asking our customers to interchange at Wolli Creek for trains to the Airport?

The short answer is that it’s faster than catching a rail replacement bus. A rail replacement bus can take more than 42 minutes to travel from Central Station to International Airport Station. By train, from Central Station to International Airport Station via Wolli Creek it will only take between 17 and 24 minutes, including interchange and wait time at Wolli Creek. Over the next few years our trains will be frequently affected by construction of the Sydney Metro. We have had to ‘think outside the box’ to find a way to minimise that impact to our customers. We need your help Wolli Creek is not a usual station to interchange at for many of our customers travelling from lines not connected to the T3, T4, T8 or South Coast. Because of this, many of our customers may be travelling on a route unfamiliar to them. Your assistance in providing our customers accurate interchange advice is crucial to the success of this train plan. The following pages have been designed as an interchange guide to help you support our customers with interchange information. Please use the feedback form at the end of this guide to let us know what you think could be improved, or what worked well. Your feedback will help us improve, or fine-tune the train plan, and how we communicate these changes for future trackwork.

CBD Metro D - Sydney Metro Central stage works - Rail Milling - Overhead wiring, signal and track inspections and other preventative maintenance - Corridor Presentation: vegetation maintenance and graffiti removal at various locations
