Our school is grateful for the support and encouragement given by our community. This week staff will be analyzing NAPLAN data. Also Literacy and Numeracy Data to evaluate the success of our targeted teaching through our Early Action for Success implementation. We will also be examining rich texts and authentic reading resources that are relevant, significant and engaging for our students. Last Friday staff and students respectfully discussed, stopped, thought, remembered and acknowledged Remembrance Day. Teachers are currently writing Semester 2 academic reports. These will be sent home with students in Week 10. Please let the school office staff know if you will be away over this time so staff can post your child’s report. Also let us know if 2 copies are required for both parents or guardians. Transition students moving into Kindergarten next year have been having a great time on Thursdays with our K-2 class. As we commence planning for 2018, we would appreciate it if you could advise us of any potential changes. This information assists us with staffing and the formation of classes for next year. At this stage our schools intensive

swimming has been transferred into Term 1

2018. Our venue is yet to be confirmed.

Questions to ask your child instead of “How was your

day?”

What made you smile today?

Tell me something you know today that

you didn’t know yesterday?

Did you like your lunch?

What kind of person were you today?

If you could change one thing about today what

would it be?

Give me an example of kindness you saw or showed

today.

Have an awesome week!

Please call the Community Transport Office on 1300 875 895 or the bus phone on 0417 465 090 to advise if your child is not coming to school or if you are running late.

This year with the Transition students we can have up to 20 children on the bus on Wednesday and Thursdays. If the bus is waiting OR being directed to another address at the last minute, it can make the bus run late for school.

Don’t forget your lunch orders this Friday!
