Prayers

The Wider Church We pray for the women of New Zealand and around the world who provide support for overseas mission. We pray for the AAW and its mission projects overseas. We give thanks for the election of the Ven Waitohiariki Quayle as the 2nd Bishop of Te Hui Amorangi o Te Ika - the first Maori woman and the first Aotearoa New Zealand-born woman to become a Bishop in this Church.

In the Diocese We pray for the parishes of Green Island, Mornington, and St Kilda. We pray also for the Diocesan Council as it makes decisions about the future of the Diocese.

In the Community We pray for all those in Dunedin who have insecure or unsatisfactory housing. We pray that the Council’s efforts to improve housing in our community will be effective.

Those who have asked for prayer Val Laing, Claire and Sue Johnson, Bill Cassidy, Selwyn & Lynette Grave, April Woodward, the congregation of St Matthew's Church, Alison, Julia and Anya, Kathy Vidal, Val Davidson, Louise & Liz Duggan, Christina Silkstone, Stephen & Frances White and their family. NOTICES From the Wardens Thank you to all those who attended our Parish meeting with Bishop Steven on Saturday 27th April, and for the responses to the proposal we presented. Bishop Steven will meet with us again on Saturday 25th May at 10.00am at St Michael`s. In the meantime, please talk this through and pray about it, and let us all put our trust in God's guidance as we take our first steps together on this journey. - Ralph and Elizabeth Prayer for this Parish. At Vestry it was agreed that for the week 19 to 24 May we would prepare ourselves for the Parish meeting on 25th by intentionally praying once a day for God`s wisdom as we discern the way ahead.. You are invited to pray at 7am, noon or 7pm wherever you are, and to be strengthened by the knowledge that others are praying for the same intention at the same time. Resources for this will be available next week. Parish roll and contact list If you have not already done so please provide your current phone number and email address to the Parish Secretary at the Parish Office. Rolls and lists are for Parish purposes only.
