Tuesday 12th May Today we’d like you to practice your fine motor skills! Make a wiggly tadpole or caterpillar

Equipment: flour or salt, a tray, your finger or a paint brush, pencil or stick Instructions: Use your finger or the stick or paintbrush to make a wiggly tadpole

The Pond Equipment: green food colouring and cornflour/ small world play (frogs and pond life) Instructions: Use a stick or your finger to mark make or write out words related to the story

Wednesday 13th May Today is all about finding out facts.

Can you write 3 facts about a caterpillar, butterfly, tadpole or frog? Once you have written some information about what you know, can you find one more, new, interesting fact out? You could make this in to a fact file, using the sheet below, design a poster or a PowerPoint presentation, it can be any way that you like!

Thursday 14th May Today is all about phonic sounds: Find the letter/environmental sound

Equipment: A frog toy, green paper and pen Instructions: Parents/carer will call out a sound and the frog need to jump on the correct sound. This can be done with single letter sounds, or for use blending words. The phonics sounds are;

Friday 15th May Today we are looking at retelling part of the story, there are lots of ways that you can do this. Below are some of the ideas but you can also think of your own! Idea 1: Can you draw a picture from the story and write a sentence about it? Don’t forget to use your finger spaces, full stops and capital letters!

Idea 2: Create a story map- order the story, you could draw pictures in each box, write sentences or stick the pictures below in order.

Idea 3: With someone in your family, could you act out the story? You could make face masks to do it, dress up or make headbands. You could even film it and email it in!
