What is Arts and Culture?

The terms ‘arts’ and ‘culture’ mean somethingdifferent to everyone based on each person’sunique, historical, social, educational andeconomic experiences. Council takes a broadapproach in this plan, defining arts, culture andcommunityculturaldevelopmentasfollows.

Art is about imagination and the tangible andintangibleproductsofcreativity. The‘arts’includebutarenotlimitedto:painting;sculpture;crafts;photography; architecture; design; literature;performingarts;music;theatre;film;anddance.
