Clinical Responsibilities:

1. Hepatology: Highly experience in caring for patients with a variety of liver diseases as well as primary liver cancers. I am also experienced in the care of patients with advanced liver disease and portal hypertension with its complications (as inpatients or outpatient) and trained in Liver transplant and care of post-‐transplant patients.

2. Hepatology Consultations from various clinical departments in the hospital. 3. Gastroenterology Consultations from various clinical departments in the hospital and highly

experience in caring for patients with a variety of GIT diseases including Total Parenteral Nutrition, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and GI Malignancies.

4. One Half Day of Clinical Endoscopy: Highly skilled in different diagnostic & therapeutic Gastrointestinal endoscopies (having vast experience in performing more than thousand procedures includes; Gastroscopy, sigmoid & colonoscopy, esophageal variceal sclerotherapy, esophageal variceal band ligation, esophageal stricture dilatation for benign & malignant strictures, esophageal pneumatic dilatation for achalasia, gastric outlet and colonic stricture dilatation, polypectomy for both upper and lower GI, endoscopic gastrostomy feeding tube insertion and high-‐risk endoscopies for GI bleeders and for patients with severely abnormal coagulation or post-‐solid organ transplantation.

5. Trained in Diagnostic and Therapeutic ERCP 6. Two half day of Hepatology outpatient clinic 7. One half day for liver biopsies. Successfully performed more than 400 liver biopsies which is

currently done as an outpatient procedure at KFHU and > 130 Fibroscans. 8. In-‐charge of General Medicine Unit I on rotation basis since 2002.

Initiated the annual liver awareness campaign on 2007 at kfhu that is held every year.

First female board member of the Saudi gastroenterology association (2009 – 2011).

Established the first center in the eastern province with the liver tumor committee at kfhu for Trans arterial chemo embolization (TACE) for hepatocellular carcinomas.

Organized the first Hepatology update on hepatitis c infection 2011 by university of Dammam in collaboration with the department of internal medicine, division of gastroenterology at kfhu and directorate of academic affairs and training.
