The Conservatory of Performing Arts Ballroon Dance Program

will use a program designed and taught by Ton van Hallem.

Ton is originally from the Netherlands but now makes his

home in Regina. He has over 15 years of experience in

dancing, competing, teaching, coaching, judging and

performing on the stage and TV. Ton received his Ballroom

training in Europe and Canada; with 15 years training in

Standard Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz,

and Quickstep) and over seen years training in Latin

American dance styles. Ton is an Associate member of the

Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A) in Ballroom

Standard, Saskatchewan Branch as well as an Adjudicator for

C.D.T.A. in Ballroom Standard.

Students will be taught a curriculum which includes the

basic steps of the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Slow

Rhythm, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble (two step in

Spanish) and the Jive.

Students who do not have a dance partner are welcome to

join the class!
