Bahrain Credit Win Insurance 10!Bahrain Credit have defend-ed their Insurance Compa-nies Ramadan Tournament title after a hard-fought 2-1 win against United Insur-ance in the final game of the tournament.This was the fifth time for Bahrain Credit to win

this contest, but United In-surance were seeking their second title in the event.Bahrain Credit were the bet-ter team in the first half as they locked up their oppo-nents in their own half in no time in the first half. And in two minutes into the

first period, Hamza Khalaf fired Bahrain Credit ahead.Moments later, Falah Abbas extended Bahrain Credit’s lead, but United Insurance found their feet and began attacking in the final min-utes of the first half. How-

ever, it ended 2-0.United Insurance con-tinued attacking in the second half to reduce

the deficit. And Hassan Al Sakran pulled one back for

them halfway through the second period. However, Bahrain Credit managed to protect their net to win this

year’s title.

Al Jamri: First Half

Errors Cost Us DearlyUnited Insurance manager Ali Al Jamri attributed their loss in the final game of the 10th Insurance Companies Ramadan Football Tournament to the errors his team committed in the first half, because of which they went 2-0 down.“We control the game after we found our feet. But this wasn’t enough after going 2-0 down. Despite this loss, we are happy with performances in the tournament. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our players for their achievement,” he said.

Bahrain Credit player Mohammed Hamada underlined that his team deserved to win this competition for the second year running; their fifth overall. “We were in full control of the first half and we managed to score two goals. We experienced some tense moments, but we managed to overcome them to win the title,” he said.

Personal Awards in Insurance 10

Bahrain Credit have won their fifth Insurance Companies Ramadan Football Tournament title, while Bahrain Central Bank earned the Ideal Team Award. Hassan Al Sakran of Unit-ed Insurance finished on top of the scoring chart with eight goals; the Best Goalkeeper Award went to Trust Tre shot stopper Amin Soufi and Solidarity player Ali Zayed was named the best player of the tournament.

More in Coming EditionsPresident of Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) Abdulha-meed Al Ammadi expressed his happiness at the success achieved by the 10th Insurance Companies Ramadan Football Tournament which was organised by BIA.“This success encourages all of us to give more in the next editions to make them even better. The performances shown in the final game reflect the way this tournament has devel-oped. Both teams played a great final,” he said, adding: “We are happy to oversee the organisation of the 10th edition of this competition. And this stems from our belief in the impor-tance of making it a huge success.”Moreover, Al Ammadi praised the efforts of the Organising Committee of the event towards showcasing it in the best possible manner.

Hajjar: Happy to be Part of this SuccessTrust Re Manager Nabeel Hajjar praised the final of Insurance 10 between Bahrain Credit and United Insurance. “It was a great match which deserves to be the icing on the cake. Both teams produced their maximum efforts and they both deserve to win the title,” he said. “We are happy to be the sponsor of this tournament as our intention is to support youth and sports in Bahrain. We are proud to be part of the tournament’s success,” he concluded.
