MON-10467 (AC) Safety Guidelines for Hazardous VoltagesIf hazardous voltages are connected to the device, take the following precautions. A hazardous voltage is a voltage greater than 42.4 V peak voltage or60 V DC in DRY LOCATIONS, and 22.6 V peak or 35 V DC in WET LOCATIONS.

Caution Only the MON-10467 (AC) power input can be connected to hazardous voltages. Do not connect the MON-10467 (DC) orMON-10467 (BATTERY) to hazardous voltages.

MON-10467 (AC) Field Wiring GuidelinesAdhere to the following guidelines when wiring the MON-10467 (AC).• Only use copper wire when connecting to AC mains terminals.• Only use wiring that is properly rated for voltage and temperature as needed for your application.• Disconnect the external power to the device and use the external circuit breaker box to completely remove mains power before opening the device for

• Ensure that the power wiring is not connected to the energized or live facility power source before connecting the power input.• Ensure that the protective earth wire has more slack than the power wires so that the grounding terminal always disconnects last and is connected to the

You can also recycle used batteries through NI's global take-back program. Complete the following steps to remove the batteries from the MON-10467 (BATTERY) before shipping it to NI. Do not ship the batteries. Refer to theMON-10467 (BATTERY) Battery Recycling section for how to recycle used batteries.1. Loosen the four captive screws on the door of the device with a 1/4 in. socket or 1/4 in. (6 mm) flat-blade screwdriver.2. Open the door of the device slowly.3. Unscrew the captive screws on the bracket with a #1 Phillips screwdriver and remove it.4. Remove used batteries by pulling them straight out or using a non-conductive tool.
