Mom and Dad need help.

Long-term Care • Memory Care • Rehab to Home • Independent Living

Indiana Veterans’

There are various levels of care that can help at different stages in mom and/or dad’s life. However, if they are having trouble with three or more of the following, it may be time to consider getting them the help they need every day:

• Taking medication properly• Bathing or toileting• Dressing themselves• Changes in memory, communication or judgment

Healing happens on many different playing fields. We nurture the entire person, from individual medical care plans to spiritual support and social well-being.

Becoming a resident at the Indiana Veterans’ Home gives them access to a community that was built just for them.

Indiana Veterans’

Gather Together • Grow Together • Thrive Together

We are stronger together.

Our campus is different – Veterans helping Veterans.

“There is no stronger understanding than the understanding between two soldiers.”

Not only is our resident base 100% honorably discharged soldiers and their spouses but many of our staff are veterans as well.

We are stronger together.

Receive care from a medical staff that is invested in you. Whether you need a hand recovering from surgery or require special care; we are here because we want to know you and serve you. Our dedicated staff chooses to practice medicine here because they want to support our veterans and their families.

It’s never too late to socialize and learn; strengthen current relationships and form new connections through our entertainment and leisure activities. From painting classes to diabetes education, the possibilities for healing and growing are everywhere.

Make dinner plans with friends, meet your neighbors at an event. Be treated by healthcare professionals who concentrate on your healing. Flourish in a community where you’re valued. Live where the opportunities are abundant.

Margie Swann: Loving daughter of veteran resident“My Dad came here and we thought he would be bedridden. Physical therapy

helped him to be mobile and social again. He has always been a social creature, everyone he meets is a friend, so this environment has been really

good for dad, that’s why we sing the praises of the Indiana Veterans’ Home.”

Sharon Epping: Devoted wife of veteran resident

“The veterans home influenced his life because he’s communicated with other veterans, he’s

been able to go to other veteran activities, he’s been able to adjust very well. For me it has

been a great help, as I was a 24/7 caregiver, it has helped me mentally and physically.”Jan Towers: Airforce veteran resident

“I have found that I am more involved in things here than I ever have been! Everyone

gets to know who you are and everybody speaks to you. I feel comfortable and safe here.

I’ve got it made, just about anything I want is right here on these grounds.”

Dave Dubanski: Navy veteran resident “I love it here. I’ve met a lot of great people. They take good care of us, they treat us well. Very good staff, I’d recommend it to anyone. Come take a tour here you’ll like it, trust me.”

VA per Diem where the VA pays $107.16 a day towards a veteran’s stay.

Then there is Aid and Attendance: • A single war time eligible veteran would

receive up to $1,830.00 a month towards their stay in a long term facility.

• A married wartime eligible veteran would receive up to $2,127.00 a month towards their stay.

• A widow of a wartime eligible veteran would receive $1,176.00 a month towards their stay.

• All medications, diabetic supplies and incontinence supplies (yes, you get to select your preferred continence item) are paid for.

However, Aid and Attendance can only be used to this extent at the Indiana Veterans’ Home. Aid and Attendance anywhere else will afford the veteran a flat rate of $90.00 a month.
