Lochie and Freya did an amazing job hosting the event and our class award winners were Deegan Bellinger, Braidey Howe, Bradley Johnston, Georgie Thompson, Sophie McKay, Liam Collins, Lucy Philpott, Jayden Lee, Samantha Youd, Rose Pennell and Tiana Doyle. Future assembly dates for your diary are 26 th of April and 24 th of May. The dates for the grade 5/6 Hobart Camp are October the 24 th , 25 th and 26 th . More information regarding this excur- sion will be announced in due course. In past years the amount that parents have required to pay has been $50. We are anticipating this to be the same again in 2012. On May 16 th 17 th and 18 th is the grade 3/4 camp to Camp Clayton. Information regarding this will be sent home be- fore Easter. In consultation with the Student Representative Council it has been decided that the two charities that we will sup- port through fundraising efforts in first term will be Camp Quality and Epilepsy Awareness Australia. We are focusing on fundraising that will help children of primary age, with our aim to support two charities per term. More details to come. As you will be aware in the first week after Easter you will be receiving your child’s Primary Progress Report. On this report your child will not be assessed against the Australian Curriculum, but rather you will be given an indication of how they have started the year. In mid-July you will receive your child’s first report against the Australian Curricu- lum. On this report you will see either an A, B, C, D or E rating. This rating will indicate the achievement level of your child according to the Australian Curriculum. A ‘C’ rating translates directly to ‘ at the standard expected.’ I would like to make it clear to parents that a ‘C’ is a very high standard and is a perfectly acceptable goal for our stu- dents. I will be making you further aware of the Australian Curriculum and report throughout the year . Finally, a reminder that Monday the 16 th April is a student free day and no teaching staff will be at school. I hope you all have a happy and safe Easter and don’t eat too much chocolate. Principal’s Desk Firstly I would like to apologise for not making you all aware of our assembly, last week. Lochie and Freya did an amazing job hosting the event and our class award winners were Deegan Bellinger, Braidey Howe, Bradley Johnston,

Georgie Thompson, Sophie McKay, Liam Collins, Lucy Philpott, Jayden Lee, Samantha Youd, Rose Pennell and Tiana Doyle. Future assembly dates for your diary are 26th of April and 24th of May.

The dates for the grade 5/6 Hobart Camp are October the 24th, 25th and 26th. More information regarding this excur-sion will be announced in due course. In past years the amount that parents have required to pay has been $50.

We are anticipating this to be the same again in 2012. On May 16th 17th and 18th is the grade 3/4 camp to Camp Clayton. Information regarding this will be sent home be-

fore Easter.

In consultation with the Student Representative Council it has been decided that the two charities that we will sup-

port through fundraising efforts in first term will be Camp Quality and Epilepsy Awareness Australia. We are focusing on fundraising that will help children of primary age, with our aim to support two charities per term. More details to

come.

P&F FOOTY MARGINS FUNDRAISER

I would like to purchase ______ lucky envelope(s) at a cost of $44 each.

Name: ______________________________________________ Payment enclosed : $ ____________

Signed: ______________________________________________

P&F are running a fundraiser based on the winning margin of each AFL Fri-day night match. All you need to do is purchase an envelope for $44 to be in the running for the weekly prize. This envelope contains two numbers, one being a number between 1 and 50 and the second being a number be-tween 51 and 100. This gives you two chances to win the weekly prize of $50 for the winning points margin. We will start from round 2 on Friday 6th April and run for 22 weeks. You retain the same two numbers for the entire season. Envelopes may be purchased at the office (or fill in the attached form, en-close payment and we can send it home with your child) and this is a great way to involve your extended families, grandparents, friends, etc. to raise much needed funds for the school. If each family could try to sell at least one lucky envelope it will help us make this a successful fundraising venture. If you would like any further information please contact Geraldine at the school office or Leah Blair on 63631201.
