After a 15 year absence, the Moke isback, a wonderful addition to the Miniscene that Mini Sport are proud to be

involved in. The Original Moke, was designed and thefirst prototype was built back in 1959 by SirAlex Issigonis. A derivative of the Mini brand,with which it shared many parts, was to fulfila need in the British forces. Unfortunately, itwas not deemed to be practical for thereneeds, due to the low ground clearance, butin 1964 the Moke was put into production byBMC at there Longbridge factory, for thepublic to buy through the dealer network.In 1966 the first Australian Mokes wereproduced in Sydney and productioncontinued until 1982, when the factory wassold. The following year 1983, production hadbeen transferred to Portugal, and althoughnot exactly the same as the Australian Moke,they were very similar. Production continueduntil 1989, when the company was sold toCagiva in Italy, who continued withproduction of the Portuguese Moke until 1993.The New Moke is based on the Australian &Portuguese Mokes, it has a fully Galvanisedbody that is built to the highest quality,guaranteeing many rust free years. The running gear and brakes are as standardon a Rover Mini, with disc brakes to the frontand drums to the rear. The suspension is alsoas standard on the Rover Mini, with the

addition of the fantastic Moulton SmoothaRide Kit, making it a wonderful vehicle todrive and ride in.With a Brilliant Colour range to finish, the newMoke has all the ingredients to put a smileon your face. The involvement of Mini Sport is to developand distribute the Moke throughout the UK,Ireland & Europe. We have the technology,ability, enthusiasm and experience, gainedover 40 years in business with the Mini, toprovide the complete Moke experience.

MOKE KITS

This extensive Moke kit has beenspecifically engineered for the “handson” enthusiast, who finds as muchenjoyment in the construction as thedriving. We suggest using a Mini donor vehiclefor your build allowing straight forwardtransfer of the brakes, suspension,engine and gearbox. This will also assistwhen registering the vehicle as thelogbook can be easily updated.

Each kit comes with everything illustratedbelow and listed opposite, along withindicator lamps, rear brake lights plus allbolts and fixings to build your kit.
