Regeneration Masterplanfor New Malden, Surrey
‘The New Malden Future Group was formed two years ago from several sectors of the community to work with both Kingston Council and residents in New Malden on a major development in the centre of our town.
Mohsin Cooper’s suggested design for our town centre has won a lot of support from residents and has infl uenced Kingston Council on their intent in forming a collaborative relationship with residents and, hopefully, leaving us with a legacy of which we can be proud. ‘
Mohsin Cooper led the development of a conceptual masterplan for the future regeneration of New Malden in collaboration with community representatives.

‘From the outset, Mohsin Cooper took the time to understand us. From their fi rst visit on site, to the many more that followed, they always listened to what we wanted, identifi ed our main challenges and found effective ways to overcome them.
Carrying out such extensive building work was a daunting prospect for us and the expertise and experience of the team was a constant source of support throughout the process. The overall vision of the project was always central to everything we did together and although at times our budget wasn’t quite as big as our aspirations, they helped us to fi nd solutions that were affordable and still achieved the overall impact we were looking for. Above all else, we wanted an inspiring space for the children of our community to spend time in. Mohsin Cooper helped us to achieve this and we are sincerely thankful for their help.’
