Modulift Spreader Systems are a cost-effective and flexible option for lifting objects where there is a possibility of crushing the load and where slings connected to the load are required to be vertical. The modular concept is based on the assembly of a pair of end units with drop links, which provide the connection between the top and the bottom slings, and a combination of struts of different lengths bolted between the end units to achieve variable length capability. In use, the bolts do not carry any of the lifting forces but simply connect the assembly together while the geometry of the system does the work.

The Modulift Spreader System enables slings to connect to large and bulky objects in a vertical attitude. Built using a unique engineering formula, the spreaders are designed using their lightweight structure to resist the compression forces of the lifting

arrangement. The design utilizes one of the most basic structural engineering elements, that of a pin-ended strut. The shackles which connect the top slings to the spreader, provide the pin and give flexibility to the geometry of the slings which prevents bending forces being generated by the lifting process and transmitted into the object being lifted.

Modulift Spreaders are optimized for weight at every size. The unique capabilities of the modular system add to its benefits through easier and more maneuverable ground handling, easy build and storage capabilities and with a range of components to make up the spreader, gives it a multi-use feature and a cost-effective solution over a range of lifts.

The Modulift range comprises 16 systems, which provide lifting capacity for weights between 2 – 5000 tons

and lengths from 1’ to 170’. The system is used for the smallest maintenance work to the largest lifting jobs in many industry sectors including construction, maritime, offshore, oil and gas, industrial and aerospace industries. All utilize the modular system to enable the lifting of various loads, without the need to buy or rent new spreader beams for every different job.

With safety being of paramount importance, lifting equipment is strictly regulated to meet with all safety and design regulations and each Modulift Spreader Series has been proof load tested in the Modulift compression test rig. To be able to proof load test to the maximum safe working load and span the test rig has the capability to test spreaders up to 5000 tons.

Maintenance Range Portable Range Heavy Range

QJ2QuickJoint is a hand portable Spreader System capable of lifting 2 tons at 100” . Retail price for the set is $1,134.

MOD 6Light and simple to transport this system is capable of lifting 6 tons at 100” and the entire set only weighs 58lbs. Total price for the set is $2,364.60.

MOD 12Suitable for manual handling and can lift up to 12 tons at 13’ with a maximum span of 13’. Full set weight is 136lbs. Our price for the set is $2,464.71.

MOD 24With a maximum span of 20’ and WLL of 24 tons at 15’ weighing in for a full set at just 363lbs, the MOD 24 is one of our more popular sizes retailing at $4,749.90.

MOD 34Our MOD 34 can lift 34 tons at a span of 18’ and has a maximum span of of 26’. The longest component is 6’ and this 594lbs set is worth every penny at $6,439.11.

MOD 50With a maximum span of 36’ this is one of our work horses. It can lift 50 tons at 26’. Transportation is a simple task with a maximum component length of just 12’. The MOD 50 weighs 1214lbs for the full set and retails at $9,455.66.

MOD 70 / 70HWith a maximum span of 39’ and lifting 70 tons at 31’ the standard MOD 70 set weighing in at 2028lbs is our most popular size.

The Heavy version uses many of the same components but with higher specification End Units and Drop Links it can pick 100 tons at 26’. Total price for a MOD 70 set is $13,546.83 and only an extra $285.25 for the MOD 70H.

MOD 110 / 110HOne of our most versatile Beams, the MOD 110 can lift to a maximum span of 52’ and can lift 110 tons at 38’. The full set weighs in at 4305lbs with a maximum component length of 20’.

Upgrade to the Heavy and lift 170 tons at 28’, the full set weighs 4350lbs. Total price for MOD 110 set is $29,814.57 and only an extra $224.99 for the MOD 110H.

The Modulift 271 range is supplied as standard with a test certificate and a Certificate of Conformity for the Spreader System and Drop Links and is designed for temperature conditions down to (-4°F).

3. Modulift DNV Certified The ultimate in certification and quality control for the most demanding project specification. A Modulift spreader manufactured to a design approved by DNV and witnessed by DNV surveyors throughout the fabrication process and proof load testing. The MOD 12, 24 and 34 are part of the PORTABLE RANGE. All components are suitable for manual handling apart from the longer struts from the MOD 24 and MOD 34 which require 2-4 people to lift them. The MOD 50 to MOD 110H are part of the HEAVY RANGE.

QuickJoint (QJ) is the new addition to the Modulift Spreader System. QuickJoint has a similar arrangement to the standard Modulift Spreader system and retains all the flexibility with the improved ability to be assembled quickly.

The compact size and light weight of the QuickJoint Spreader brings a new reality that Spreaders are no longer bulky and difficult to take to site. Your guide to some of the configurations available to you 1. Simple single system 2 point lift A single Spreader is the simplest configuration and is suitable for 2 point lifts. The Spreader absorbs the compression forces to protect the load being lifted.

2. Single system 4 point liftThis configuration again used a single beam where the load being lifted requires four individual lifting points.

3. 1-over-2 rigWe use this configuration when vertical slings are essential. By varying the sling lengths, we can also take into account an offset center of gravity.

4. 1-over-2 inline rigIdeal for those lifts where the span is long and potential bending of the load is a problem.
