Talking about relationships
I’ve got a big family with lots of aunts, uncles and fi fteen cousins. At home, I’ve got two sisters, a half-brother and a stepbrother. We are very close as a family and we get on well together but of course we sometimes have rows. I get on especially well with my cousin Fred and we have a lot in common and a similar sense of humour. We always have a real laugh together and help each other out when we’ve got problems. My best friend is called Tom and we got to know each other when we were teammates in the village football team. I suppose we get on well together because we have similar interests and tastes and we trust each other. We go out together every weekend and use Facebook to keep in touch during the week.
Multi-part verbs (1)
These verbs are di erent from typical multi-part verbs (e.g. get up, get on with) because they have nouns and pronouns in them.
