An introduction to our modular seating

'Modular' is the term used for furniture that can be combined in various different ways

to suit a space, with modular seating being among the most frequently requested for

such leisure spaces as bars, restaurants, cafes and office break-out areas. The reasons

for such popularity are not difficult to discern: modular seating makes aesthetic and

practical sense in a wide range of settings.

To get a sense of just what advantages modular seating could bring for your own

organisation's leisure spaces, you are welcome to take a look at the examples cited on

the Design & Contract Interiors website. It is important to emphasise that we do not

have a standard stocked range, instead working alongside every client and liaising with

designers to ensure that the final seating matches even the most specialised

requirements.

Nonetheless, the best modular seating does need to be designed and made to certain

universal standards if those who use your spaces are to be given the best possible

impression and as a result, continue using them. You may opt for relatively simple

modular seating in both design and manufacture, perhaps combining an upholstered

seat with back chrome or paint-finished legs.

However, many purchasers of our modular seating here at Design & Contract Interiors

wish to go further, perhaps by investing in upholstered wall panels that coordinate well

with the main seating, or by opting for less conventional seating styles. Examples of the

latter that have been supplied by Design & Contract Interiors include a cross modular

sofa that incorporates a multilayer beech wood structure alongside polyurethane foam

padding, or our Friends Art 201 Pouf polyethylene rota-moulded seating.

Further indications of the incredible design versatility of modular seating and our

company's ability to supply it to the most exacting customer specifications include the

likes of Dado modular seating that consists of a steel frame and upholstered shell, as

well as 'Mommy' seating and the Piper modular system. This latter option enables the

quick combination of different seating elements to the client's satisfaction, and

comprises a steel tube frame and seat in polyurethane foam that can be covered with

fabric or eco-leather.

Modular seating really can cater for the full range of needs that one may have for the

layout of their premises' leisure spaces, with Design & Contract Interiors' experts being

excellently placed to guide you to the optimum solutions - even if that entails creating

them virtually from scratch.
