description
Relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of this ingenious scarf. Worked end to end, short rows give a comfortable curve to the neck while maintaining a flare at the ends. Mitered square “leaves” grow naturally from the ends of the horizontal purl ribs and are great portable projects, satisfyingly quick to knit. The central eyelet motif of the miters and the delicate movement of your leaves highlights the natural beauty of the yarn.

description
Front panels of eyelet rib grow with slight variation from the bottom trim to the scoop neck of this romantic vest. to tuck one or two full or faux pockets on either side as you knit or when you’re finishing. An eyelet lace panel gives interest to the lower back and delicate tendrils of eyelets appear again in a back neck eyelet panel. Clear instructions and the magic of double knitting will help you create a back band that’s stockinette on the inside and ribbed on the outside for style, comfort, and stability. Double-sided neck and front bands give structure to the delicate lace. Finish with snaps or hooks and eyes to allow the vertical lines to continue without interruption, giving the final polish to your Agate Vest.

Ready to dream under the starry August sky? Imagine yourself in this sweet summery tank, knit in the round from the eyelet rib bottom trip to the armholes. A lacy front eyelet rib panel continues uninterrupted to the base of the scoop neck. The bottom rib and lacy panel are handled slightly differently to give definition to the separate parts. Layer with your favorite shawl or show off your shoulders in this wonderfully wearable piece.

description
Breeze through the day in this romantic blouson bodice. An eyelet rib runs from the bottom to a waist-defining casing concealing an elastic band for a flattering fit. Then the easy drape of stockinette rises to the eyelet lace panel of the neck placket. The subtle scoop neck dips slightly lower in the front than in the back. Careful details like the echoed lace panel at the nape of the neck and a double-sided neckband for stability deliver a top that’s informal, but polished and easy to dress up or down.

description
This jaunty pullover marries the charm of lace with urban details. Worked in the round from the bottom eyelet trim rib, a front eyelet rib panel adds interest to the eye and in the knitting. A back eyelet panel at the base of the neck gives continuity between the front and the back of the sweater. Details like eyelet ribbing on the cuffs of the sleeves, lacy bicep full or faux pockets, and eyelets on the cap of the sleeve are sure to spark your interest.

description
Lace can be lightweight without being delicate, as demonstrated by this intriguing cardigan. Start at the lacy ribbed bottom trim and knit through eyelet panels that run parallel right up the front. The central back eyelet panel comes to an end at the double-knit back band, but the eyelets are echoed in a appealing panel at the base of the neck and in an eyelet pattern at the cap of the sleeves. Double-sided front and neckbands and your choice of hidden closures give classic lines to a cardigan with a romantic soul.

description Explore two different modular construction concepts while making the two faces of this pillow. One side features a variation on the classic mitered square, a truly modular knitting concept. On the other side, shift your focus from decreases to increases with a counterpane square that grows from the inside out. Notice how the same yarn looks slightly different, depending on the way you knit it. You decide which one you like working the best!

description Always on the road? Modular knitting makes even a large project like this cozy throw completely portable. Until the final step, your work-in-progress is never larger than a 16” square. Alternate between mitered squares that come together with decreases and lily counterpane squares that grow through increases. Both approaches to modular knitting make for equally organic knitting. Finish by pulling all the squares together using a flat three-needle bind-off for a project that’s modular from start to finish.
