• Only add the drivers you NEED• NEED = Test, Test, Test• The more drivers you add, the longer the
boot time is• Adding unnecessary drivers can increase
the WIM size by 5-20%• ConfigMgr increases the WinPE image by
roughly 9% alone

• Ability to upgrade older versions of applications automatically

• When we run the TS on client machine:– ZTIGather processes customsettings.ini– PackageMapping creates Packages array– OS Installed (and a few other things)– “Install Software” step processes array and
installs packages
