    These two principles in turn lead to three practicalimplications:

    The learner is directly responsible for learning.He creates personal understanding andtransforms information into knowledge. Theteacher plays an indirect role by modelingeffective learning, assisting, facilitating andencouraging learners.

    The context of meaningful learning consists inthe learner connecting his school activity with

    real life.

    The purpose of education is the acquisition ofpractical and personal knowledge, not abstractor universal truths.
