We especially focus on the functionality and selection of the technical components. As passionate cyclists ourselves, we never stop considering how to optimize the products and always participate in the latest developments that take place in the cycling scene. Modifications and innovations only find their way into our product range if it can be proven that they are a substantial improvement that our customers can benefit from. Fashionable cosmetic is not how we see the vsf fahrradmanufaktur brand. This product policy has enabled our manageable range of matured models to expand over the years, providing them with a cult status.

vsf fahrradmanufaktur traditionally places great value in steel. As a material that is full of character, it exudes an aura of tried and trusted craftsmanship, this being entirely in keeping with our manufacturing concept and what has proven itself in the construction of bikes for such a long time, also has to be con-vincing in the matter in question in the future: steel brings with it a high degree of tensile strength – it exceeding 700 N/mm2 in the case of the chromium-molybdenum alloy 25CrMo4. This makes this steel the first choice in numerous lines of business in the motor vehicle industry. The alloy can be formed well with a relatively small amount of energy and it also has the best welding properties. These are therefore ideal requirements when it comes to manufacturing timeless frames that are filigree and elegant, but at the same time highly resilient. Steel frames are hereby not only resilient, they also have an elasticity that offers a good cycling comfort without the absolute necessity for a suspension fork or suspension saddle posts. Our vsf fahrradmanufaktur frames are covered by a 10-year warranty, no matter whether they are made of steel or aluminium. This is also valid for fitted rigid aluminium and steel forks. By the way, all of our bikes are approved for a maximum laden weight of 140 kg (even 170 kg in the case of model T-XXL).

The in-dependent branch association VSF (Verbund Service und Fahrrad e.V.) and vsf fahrradmanufaktur are connected by a long mutual history. The VSF e.V. has had a reputation for being an established authority with regard to quality consciousness for almost 30 years. The guiding principle of the association is the per-manent striving for better products. Its professionally established judgement with the awarding of points offers orientation and certainty when buying a bike and its suggestions have also had a positive influence on the product development outside the vsf fahrradmanufaktur. Not only that, with more than 230 bike dealers, the VSF e.V. also maintains a comprehensive service network throughout the Federal Republic of Germany. The VSF e.V. certifies products that meet a series of defined quality criteria with the VSF..all-ride Seal. These include not only excellent durability, functionality and reliability and the adherence to ethical values with production processes that are as ecological as possible and with fair working conditions. The certification is granted after stringent testing by proven experts. All of the VSF..all-ride certified models are designated in the catalogue with the logo. The vsf fahrradmanufaktur customers not only expect a special product quality with a 10-year warranty on the frame, they also expect first class service. That starts with extensive advice and included a registration of the bike free of charge and top technical support with inspections or repairs.

Our customers can even rely on vsf fahrradmanufaktur when travelling in remote areas: if they need spare parts while they are on the road, they simply contact us by phone or send us an email. We then interact with headquarters in Oldenburg and ensure that the required parts are shipped to the place of destination as soon as possible, no matter wheth-er the parts are required in the Munsterland area of Germany or in the Himalayas.

Another major plus when it comes to the service is the fact that the cus-tomers can have a lot of the bike models individualised by choosing a colour from the entire colour range.

DERAILLEUR GEAR 30/27-SPEED

Transmissions should provide optimal support in all cycling situations. A low gear makes for easy pedalling and is ideal when starting off, manoeuvring in small spaces and helps you to master mountainous terrain and when headwinds. Only a relatively short stretch is travelled per crank rotation. A faster speed requires a higher gear.

A high gear makes for difficult pedalling and is ideal when increasing speed on a level stretch or when cycling down mountains. The table shows the range of the cycled stretch per crank rotation for the different transmission types. This enables you to determine which transmissions are best suited to your needs.
