2 Attach Side Mounting RailsAttach both left and right side rails to the truck bed. The end of the mounting rail with the drain tube tting will go towards the cab of the truck. For GMC 6.5’ Beds Only - Stick the rubber spacers between the plastic bed rail cap and the bed rail, adjacent to the front and center clamps. (Identify the location of the spacers by holding the mount-ing rail up to the bed rail of the truck and marking the location of the clamps on the truck. Pull out on the plastic bed rail cap and slide the the spacer in, sticking it to the truck bed.)

Position the top edge of the mounting rail ush to 1/8" above the top edge of your truck bed rail, Figure 1 & 2. Starting with the center clamp (one of the smaller clamps) install the rail, but do not tighten completely. Install the other small clamp towards the front of the rail. Install the larger clamp at the rear of the rail, place the back portion of the clamp into the stake pocket, Figure 3. Tighten the clamps using a 1/2” wrench or socket, Photo A.

Note: If you discover your truck will not allow you to position a clamp adjacent to the spacer, simply slide the spacer forward or back as needed.
