2. Methodological approach

5-step model approach:

A) Establishment of an international network between industry

(companies and organizations) and research (universities

and research institutions)

B) Selection of an internationally integrated and networked sector of

the industry --- the meat industry

C) Develop motivation to work on the Industry-Academia

Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) as Marie Curie Action under

the 7th EU Framework program ”PEOPPLE”

D) Implementation of a 48-month exchange program with 22

scientists in different stages of their career with 7 partner

organizations

E) Integration of the module “education” in the triple helix formation of

education-research-innovation

• Accredited DGQ/EOQ qualification scheme at 13 Universities in Germany since 1996 -> advisory committee “Research + Teaching”

• Qualification scheme with specific courses and exams in 3 blocs

– Bloc I Lectures and exercises (min. 100 hours)

– Bloc II Seminars and group work (min. 40 hours

– Bloc III Practical activity (min. 200 hours)

• All blocs are covered by specific course modules and the associated exams at the universities (accredited by the DGQ)

• One professor as authorized coordinator at each university

-> member of DGQ advisory committee “Research + Teaching”

Actual Project Activities:

KIC Food4 future

• Innovative approaches are needed on the path to excellence in

competition permanent economic, social and cultural changes.

• Chain approach is indispensable in the agricultural and food area

challenges of global markets. Education and qualification

programs in the area of quality management have to be recognized

European and international wide.

• Internationally oriented education models can only be successful if

all the three levels of responsibilities such as normative, strategic

and operational are willing to cooperate: Within the QUARISMA

this was realized for the first time.

• The EOQ recognized programme “EOQ Quality Systems Manager

Junior” may hopefully be the starting point for further development

of academic quality management qualification at university level.
