1 WHAT IS MOBILEPASS?

MobilePASS is a mobile application that generates a One Time Password1 (OTP) value for authentication, to

connect to our corporate network remotely.

MobilePASS replaces our old FOB hardware tokens with a software based token.

2 WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD MOBILEPASS FROM?

The MobilePASS application run on any of the leading smartphone or tablet brands/operating systems. Use the

below links, according to your device type, to

download the app. Please note the relevant

system requirements.

iOS (Version 6.0 or later)

Android (Version 1.6 or later)

BlackBerry (Version OS 10 or later)

Windows Phone (Version 7 or later)

1 A one-time password (OTP) is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, on a computer system.

Emirates Group’s OTPs implementation incorporates a more secure two-factor authentication (2FA) by ensuring that the

one-time password (passcode) requires access to something a person has (such as your cell phone or a small keyring fob

device) as well as something that you know (such as a PIN).

The most important advantage that is addressed by OTPs is that, in contrast to static passwords, they are not vulnerable to

replay attacks. This means that a potential intruder who manages to record your OTP that was already used to log into a

service or to conduct a transaction will not be able to abuse it, since it will no longer be valid. That passcode is valid for one

login.

The MobilePASS application will continue to generate the passcodes as and when required.

3 HOW DOES MOBILEPASS WORK?

3.1 Enrol the application The first step is to enrol the application that you have downloaded on to your smartphone. Here are the step-

by-step instructions on how to configure the app, according to your device type. Once you have enrolled, read

the other sections in this document to know how to use the soft token.

3.1.1 Step-by-step: iOS phone

iOS phone Step 1

Make sure you have installed the SafeNet

MobilePASS app from the Apple App Store.

Once the SafeNet MobilePASS app is installed,

click the link in the SMS message to start.




iOS phone Step 2

The Self Enrolment page is opened in your

smartphone browser. Click the link to open the

MobilePASS app to start activation.




iOS phone Step 3

The MobilePASS app starts, enter your

Emirates user ID (e.g. S123456), and then click

the Activate button.




iOS phone Step 4

Set a Token PIN, enter a five digit PIN.




iOS phone Step 5

Enter your PIN once again to confirm.




iOS phone Step 6

Passcode generated, activation complete.

3.1.2 Step-by-step: Android phone

installed, click the link in the SMS message to

start.

user ID (e.g. S123456), and then click the

3.2 How do I login with MobilePASS token? After you install the MobilePASS app on your smartphone, you can use it to generate a passcode. When you

access a webpage.

1. Type in your user ID in the Username field

2. For the Passcode, launch the MobilePASS application on your phone.

3. Enter the PIN (5-digit PIN) you entered when you configured the application. This will generate a six-digit

token number (the passcode).

4. On the login page, enter this 6-digit number in the field that says Passcode on the webpage.

5. Do not type your 5-digit PIN in the Passcode field.

6. This passcode is valid for a maximum of 60 seconds. You need to enter the passcode within this time,

else you will have to use the next passcode shown on your phone.

7. Type your network password (AD password) in the Password field.

8. Click on Login.
