The Media Unit’s television production crew enables youth and adults to speak out on the issue for broadcast. For more information please call the media unit at 478-8648. usGa Golf CliniCThe City of Syracuse will present it’s Annual Junior Golf Academy, part of the United States Golf Academy’s “ For the Good of the Game” initiative, at Sunnycrest Park. Seventy-five youth will participate in clinics run by the Central New York Professional Golf Association each Friday, 9:�0 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., for five weeks, July 11th through August 8th, 2008. Participants will learn many aspects of the game, including etiquette, grip and swing techniques. There is a $25.00 holding fee that will be returned if the child attends all sessions. The Program includes breakfast and lunch. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. All participants must reside in the City of Syracuse and be 8-16 years of age. Please complete the registration on page 20.

baseball CliniCsThe Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs is once again offering FREE half-day clinics at parks through-out the city, led by Coach David Appleton and Bishop Ludden High School Coach Ted Klamm. The clinics will be open to the first 100 youth (ages 7 – 15). Coaches will teach fundamentals of hitting, throwing, and fielding and lead fun, skilled-building games. On-site registration begins 15 minutes prior to the clinic start time. Pizza and soda will be provided.
