The Problem Area

Everything function of the torrent power billing as well as services is manual and it requires the physical presence of the customer as well as office staff

to attend to every complaint or a query and even the payment of the bimonthly bill.

Due to this the company incurred a heavy cost to manage staff and infrastructure. The company also had to mobilize manpower in specialized vans that

went around the city to collect payments area wise.The company needed to solution to cut down the cumbersome collection payment process.

The Objective

• Create an app to minimise the physical need of manpower

• A first-of-its-kind App, available on both the iOS and Google Play Stores,

• An extension to Torrent’s existing self-service portal.

• Harnessing the power of the smartphone penetration across the country, the app should enable the

customers to gain direct access to its ‘No Power Response Team’ from the App.

• The customers should be able to register power supply related complaints without having to reach Torrent’s

call centre.

• Moreover, the App should also incorporate various other convenience features such as instant bill payments,

personalized dashboard, real time service notifications and GPS tracking of customer centres and mobile

vans.
