Plymovents mobile flter units are

designed to remove welding umes

on-site in confned spaces and spaces

that are difcult to reach by fxed weldingume extraction systems, or example in

the middle o a workshop or reversely,

in an outer corner o a acility. Each

mobile unit has our wheels o which

two swivel casters, to acilitate easy

movement.

The units are suitable or both steel and

stainless steel1 welding applications, such

as MIG, MAG, TIG, GMAW, FCAW

and stick electrode welding.

Various Models

Plymovent oers three models, each

with its own benefts and unique

characteristics. All flter units contain

an aluminium spark arrester to remove

sparks saely and quickly. Depending on

your requirements, you can choose a

model or light-to-moderate or intensive

usage.

Mfd MecHanical filter

The MFD unit is based on the mechanical DuraFilter system2.

This system contains a square disposable flter cartridge with

a flter surace o 50 m2. The MFD unit is very user-riendly,

as the clogged flter indicator shows whether extraction is still

ully satisactory or whether the flter needs to be replaced.

The flter is precoated. The coating materials used extend itsliespan. Furthermore, precoating increases efciency, as the

SuracePlus coating intercepts dust and ume particles at an

early stage.

As the MFD unit contains a paper flter, it is particularly suited

or dry or virtually dry welding ume activities. It is

recommended or light-to-moderate welding activities.

Mfs self-cleaning filter

The MFS flter is ftted with RoboClean. This sel-cleaning

system cleans the flter cartridge automatically, section wise,

through compressed air during operation hours. Dust and

particles all into the dust tray underneath. The MFS units

maintenance-riendly DuraFilter has a flter surace o 30 m2.

The flter is precoated. The coating materials used extend itsliespan. Furthermore, precoating increases efciency, as the

SuracePlus coating intercepts dust and ume particles at an

early stage.

The MFS has been developed especially or intensive welding

activities with dry welding umes. It is equipped with an external

connection as standard, to supply the compressed air.

The Mfs-c version contains a built-in compressor to optimise

exibility.

The MFD mobile flter unit is IFA W3

certifed according to the Europeanstandard DIN EN ISO 15012-1 (2005).

Welding ume class W3 confrms that the

certifed MFD mobile flter unit is

recommended or the separation o

particles generated by welding o high-

alloyed steel with a nickel and chromium

content > 30%.

2 DuraFilter system: the special construction (pleats) and the embossing o the flter

medium guarantee an equal airow over the flter. The cartridge is built o cellulose

fbres and shaped into a square profle. It is also provided with cardboard corners.

As a result, the pollution is divided equally over the entire flter surace.

Both extraction arms, Flex-3 and Flex-4,

can be placed on top o a unit. The Flex-3

extraction arm is 3 metres in length and

Flex-4 is 4 metres.

ultraflex-3/ultraflex-4

In addition to Flex arms, we also supply

UltraFlex extraction arms, which are

developed especially or easy repositioning.

The UltraFlex arms are more exible and

lighter. These extraction arms can be

provided with a working light and auto-

matic start/stop device i required.

This exible extraction hose is developed

especially or these mobile flter units.

Each hose is 5 m (203 mm diameter). The

hose is equipped as standard with a suction

nozzle, and ftted with a magnetic oot.

This is used to situate the welding ume

extractor close to the welding source.

Naturally Plymovents extraction arms and hoses can be attached to the

MFD, MFS and MFE mobile flter units to reach the required length. Below

Mfe electrostatic

filter

The MFE unit has an electrostatic

flter cell, whereas the MFD and

MFS both have paper flter

cartridges. The electrostatic flter

cell consists o two separate

sections: ionizer and collector.

Thereore, the MFE is highly

recommended or oily weldingapplications.

The aluminium flter cell is easy to

clean and does not need to be

replaced. The open flter structure

ensures a constant suction level.

The convenient sliding system

ensures that maintenance can be

carried out quickly. Regular

maintenance/cleaning will ensure

eective fltration and keep the

unit working efciently.
