Q: What is eLibrary for Mobile? A: eLibrary for Mobile makes searching and browsing eLibrary content on smartphones easier.

Q: What are the supported devices and browsers? A: eLibrary for Mobile supports iOS: 6.1 and later, and Android: 2.3 and later.

Q: How do I access eLibrary for Mobile on my smartphone? A: To access eLibrary for Mobile on your smartphone, open the browser and enter elibrary.worldbank.org. Because you are accessing the website with a smartphone, eLibrary for Mobile launches automatically and opens to the Mobile Home screen. If you are using eLibrary for Mobile for the first time, you will need to pair your device to your institution's subscription. (See the next question).

Home Screen

Q: How do I pair my device with my institution? A: If you have access to eLibrary content on the desktop as a member of a subscribing institution, you can extend this access to your smartphone by pairing it to your institution. To pair your device and access content even when you are not on your institution's network, complete the following steps:

1. While using your subscribing institution's network, visit the eLibrary desktop website and log in at http://elibrary.worldbank.org. If you do not have a personal eLibrary account, click on "Register" at the top of the page and complete the form.

2. Go to the following link: https://elibrary.worldbank.org/action/mobileDevicePairingLogin to receive a pairing code.

3. On your smartphone, open the Toolbar and select the My Account button. Log in to your personal account (or register for one if you haven't already done so on the website).

5. On the Pair Device screen, enter the pairing code from the desktop site and

Verify Code. Your device is now paired with your subscribing institution.

Note: If you have not logged in to your account within your institution's network or IP range within the last 90 days, you will need to repeat this process. Each time you clear your browser data, you will need to pair your smartphone again. Pairing will last for 90 days.

Q: How do I log in to my Account? A: If you are using eLibrary for Mobile for the first time, see the section on Pairing Your Device at the top. Once your device is paired to your institution's account, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Toolbar Menu and select My Account.

2. Tap Login, enter your eLibrary username and password, and tap in Login. Login

Previously saved Favorites will appear in eLibrary for Mobile. New titles add to Favorites will be synched with your desktop personal account.

If you have forgotten your password, tap Forgot password?, enter your email address, and tap Reset Password. You will receive an email containing a link to the desktop website to reset your password.

3. To log out, tap the Logout on the My Account screen.

Q: How does the Toolbar work? A: eLibrary for Mobile provides a Toolbar that enables you to search the site, browse through content, bookmark or download publications of interest, and modify settings. To access the Toolbar, tap the Toolbar button at the top left of the screen. The Toolbar menu displays.

The Toolbar appears in one column. When you tap a button, the selected screen appears on the right and the Toolbar buttons appear on the left. The button for the selected menu appears in red. Each column has its own scrollbar.

Q: How do I search for content on eLibrary for Mobile? A: To search for content on eLibrary for Mobile:

1. Tap the Search button from the Toolbar Menu.

2. Enter your search term(s) and tap Go. A list of matching results displays. Filter or narrow your results as needed.

Q: How do I narrow my search results on eLibrary for Mobile? A: To filter your search results:

1. Tap the Toolbar button. The Search facets display.

2. Select a search facet. For example, tap Content Type to filter the results based on the type of publication. The number of results for each filter displays.

3. Tap a filter to display the filtered list of publications. For example, tap Article to display only the search results that are articles.

4. Tap the Toolbar button again to add more facets. To remove a facet added previously, tap the facet to re-run the search without it.

Q: How do I browse content on eLibrary for Mobile? A:To browse content on eLibrary for Mobile, tap the icon for the appropriate content collection from the Toolbar button.

1. Open the Toolbar and tap Journals.

Q: How do I share publications? A: To share a publication, click the Share button at the bottom of the publication's abstract page.

Q: How do I find featured content in eLibary for Mobile? A: To view featured content, open the Toolbar and tap Featured.

Q: What is the eLibrary Home Screen and how do I customize it? A: The home screen opens when eLibrary for Mobile is launched. You can customize it so your favorite journal(s) or book(s) appear when you go to your Home Screen. To customize your home screen, complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to a journal issue or book and tap the plus button to select the publication

on the home screen the next time you launch eLibrary for Mobile. 3. Selecting a publication from your customized home screen opens the

publication's abstract.

4. To remove a publication from the home screen, navigate to the publication's abstract or journal table of contents and tap the Plus button page to deselect it.

Q: How do I manage and find my Favorite publications on eLibrary for Mobile? A:To mark a publication as a Favorite, open the article or chapter and tap the Favorites button at the bottom of the screen.

Q: How do I download content on eLibrary for Mobile? A: To download a publication for offline viewing, open the publication abstract and select the download button at the bottom of the screen.

When the download is complete, a message displays and the download button is disabled.

Q: How do I access downloaded content on eLibrary for Mobile? A: To access downloaded publications for offline viewing, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Toolbar. 2. Select Downloaded.

3. Select a publication in your downloaded list. If the publication is still downloading, a progress bar displays beneath the title. Tapping a download in progress pauses the download. Tap again to resume downloading.

4. To remove a publication from the downloaded list, tap the edit button. Then tap the publication to remove it. Tap the done button to exit.

Q: How do I manage my eLibrary for Mobile settings? A: Use the settings screens to log in, read FAQs and troubleshooting tips, obtain information about eLibrary for Mobile, and view the full World Bank eLibrary website. To access your settings, tap the Toolbar button, scroll down the settings, and make your selections.

Q: How can I disable eLibrary for Mobile and access the full World Bank eLibrary website on my smartphone? A: To view the full World Bank eLibrary website, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Toolbar and tap Full Site.

2. Tap Ok to confirm.

Note: Once you disable eLibrary for Mobile on your smartphone, you will need to manually re-set it if you wish to use the mobile version again. In order to do this, you must clear the browser history and cache on your smart phone. You will also need to pair your device to your institution's account again. (See the section on Pairing Your Device at the top).
