Designed for sales automation with the support of mobile

technologies.

The platform is simulator for Smart Phones / Pocket PCs. The backend used in mobile is

SQL Server C.

MOBILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:Process of creating software which can be used on a mobiledevice.

Done using a mobile simulator on a personal computer.

Most of the methodologies in use are based on the model-driven

approach which has 3 different views of the application

development process:

1. The application itself and its structure

2. The business logic

3. The graphical user interface of the application.

A Windows Application is a windowing

application

built with the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).

WIMP (windows, icon, menu, pointer).

GUI Event-driven.

Multi-processing.OOP, Client-Server,Component-based, Distributed Computing etc. are

now supported, but not initially in MS Window.

Software meant for sales executives who are so busy that theyare not able to report to the office regularly.

They are supposed to take orders and deliver product at far away

places.

This software is so useful that he can enter the details of theorders and sales he is dealing with, in his hand set.

Later when he can report to the office the details of all the sales

and order he has stored can be simply converted into the XML

format and copied to the executives desktop.

Data can be saved and retrieved whenever needed.

Will reduce the manual costs and time consumption thus

allowing the executive to dedicate completely to his work,

wherever he goes for service.

EXISTING SYSTEM

Limitation of Existing system

Time consumption: Processing is much delayed in the existing system. Each Section will take

considerable time in completing the process defined.

More Man Power: The existing system has its own inefficiencies as it makes use of man

power. Each time a sales encountered or each day of the sale the executive has to report to

his office. Repeated manual work is required each time for the preparation of reports.

Processing delay: Communication of data from different branch location will be only done by

the way of mail or courier which is time consuming. There will be commercial transactions

errors in the existing system. Also there is a lack of quick response.

Inefficient approach:Errors can occur during transactions.

Safety and Security: Data storage in books and registers is difficult and not secure. Chances

of loss by time are more. Also the records are not safe i.e. any person having a hold can

manipulate it.

The main modules in our project are as follows:

Item registrationExecutive can register products that he has stocked. He can view,

edit and delete items on the basis of the stock.

Customer RegistrationExecutive registers customers who are willing to buy products

from him. Registered customers can order items and sales are

done against the order.

Order EntryTakes the order from the registered customer.

Daily Sales EntryDeliver the products ordered by the customer and saves the sales

details.

Search SalesSearch can be done against sales number.

Convert sales and order into XML formatExecutive converts the stored orders and sales entry into XML

format. He can then transfer it to the central database by mailing itor Active Synchronization methodology.

The system has been designed in such a way that it can be

modified with very little effort when such a need arises in the

future. The project SMART EXECUTIVE after being tested

and was found to be achieving what is meant for. The system

is found to be 100% error free and ready for implementation.

The system has been found to work efficiently and effectively.

Due to its higher user friendliness, others may use these

documents as a prototype for developing similar application.New features can be added with slight modifications of

software, which make it easy to expand the scope of the

SMART EXECUTIVE.
