Mobil DTE Extra Heavy, BB, AA, HH Premium Circulating Oils Product Description Mobil DTE Lettered Series are premium quality lubricants primarily intended for continuous reuse in circulation lubrication systems for gears and bearings. They are formulated from high quality base stocks and additives to provide superior protection against rust and corrosion, excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, and a high level of protection against wear. They possess good demulsibility which permits water and other contaminants to separate readily from the oil in the system reservoir, and they have excellent air release properties to minimize compressibility and prevent noisy and erratic operation. Their high viscosity index ensures minimum variation in film thickness and minimum power loss during the warm-up period. Features and Benefits Long lubricant charge life due to excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, giving extended drain periods and freedom from deposits Reduced wear reduces maintenance and replacement costs Protection against rust and corrosion in both the liquid and vapor phase keeps systems clean Prevention of sludge improves operating efficiency Excellent air release properties avoid pump cavitation and erratic operation Fewer unplanned stoppages through a high performance quality lubricant Applications These oils are intended primarily for the lubrication of plain bearings, roller bearings and parallel shaft gearing. Applications include splash, bath and ring oil arrangements and all other methods involving pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment. The higher viscosity grades may also be used in conventional worm gears when the service load is light to moderate. They are suitable as multipurpose lubricants in systems not subject to shock loading and which do not require extreme pressure performance. The Mobil DTE Extra Heavy through HH oils are well suited for the circulating systems of paper machines. The oils perform well at the elevated temperatures normally found in the dryer sections of paper machines. Mobil DTE Extra Heavy can also be used in hydraulic systems where clearances are relatively large and temperatures and pressures are moderate and in certain compressors and vacuum pumps handling air and inert gases provided the discharge temperatures do not exceed 150 ºC.
