with major equipment builders and the application of the latest lubrication technology.

This product simultaneously meets MB-Approval 228.51 and MB-Approval 228.5

requirements in a 5W-30 grade.

Low temperature performance

Starts colder The pour point is a measure of a lubricant’s ability to flow at low temperatures.

Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30’s typical pour point is an incredible -51°C, a temperature

that turns most conventional oils to solid wax.

As a result of this low pour point, components are lubricated more effectively,

especially during cold start-up, where a significant amount of component wear

can occur.

Thermal and oxidation stability

emissions, but can also increase engine temperatures and soot-loading of the oil.

Emission system protection

Performs better To meet the new maximum emission level requirements mandated by the European Union,

the 2008 models of on-highway engines are equipped with after treatment devices such

as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalysts or

Continuously Regenerating Traps (CRT). Installed in the engine’s exhaust system,

DPFs act to reduce particulate matter from the exhaust gas and require the use of

‘low-ash’ engine oils such as Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 to function properly.

The low-ash content of Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 helps to minimise build-up of inorganic

residues on the DPF. Blocked DPFs can be inefficient at removing particulates and can

lead to increased back pressure, with an negative impact on fuel economy.
