• The system allows mobile and web access to traffic infringement information offering National access to all infringements based on users ID numbers.

• Users may request to receive notification via sms of all new fines loaded on the system so to avoid any unnecessary additional fines and to be entitled to discounts on offer for early payments offered by the municipality.

• Users are able to view all images and details of the infringement.

• Mobile and web secure payments of the infringement.

• Ease of access to information, offering a convenient service to the public.

OVERVIEW

MOBIFINES

There is 3 ways of accessing and making use of the Mobifines system:

1. SMS Fine to 317442. Go to your mobile internet browser and enter www.mobifines.co.za3. USSD *120*5545#

SMS Request: • The consumer will sms the word “fine” to the sms number 31744. The cost of the

sms is standard rate on all networks. R0.50 per sms. • A reply message will be sent to the user containing the link and the USSD code to

access the Mobifines system.

www.mobifines.co.zaThe consumer will go to his web browser from his PC or Mobile phone and follow the

easy step by step Registration process.

• The user will then receive an sms with a pin code to authenticate the user. This is to avoid fraud and protecting the user.

• Thereafter the user needs to enter his ID number. – This will allow us to trace all vehicles registered on their name. The

information will be displayed and they will be required to confirm that the information is correct before completing the registration. This is a secure environment.

• The user will now complete the registration and all outstanding fines and infringements will be displayed and the user will have the option to pay these fines.

• You will be able to view the details, Retrieve Image and Pay the fine.

• You will have the option to pay for the fine at a convenience fee of R8.00 using your Debit or Credit Card.

MOBIFINES CREDITS

• Credits are used to view fine images and to receive notifications. You can top-up your credits at any time and the money will be deducted from your Cellphone account.

USSD *120*5545#

• The consumer will type in his mobile phone *120*5545# and press his dial button.

• The USSD will provide the user with the same functionality to register and view fines on the system.

• Notifications will be sent via SMS to the user.

• When the user request the image for the fine they will receive an sms with a link. When they click on the link they will be able to view the image.

SECURE PAYMENT

• All User information is kept strictly confidential and is secured by a variety of security measures that are reasonable taking into account the nature of service offered on this Site. Personal information will not be shared with any third party without the express written consent of the User or in terms of a court order.

• All Card transactions are Secure encrypted

SYSTEM SECURETY

• All servers are secured by Group Policies using PCI standards and are audited by third-party auditing firms regularly. Username and password are required for any access to the servers. All activity is logged in the event viewer and this is backed up via GFI Events manager to a separate server. Complex password policies are in place as per TPP-IT-006. Screensavers requiring password are activated on all servers.
