MINUTES:Thank you for the snacks and refreshments. Dr. Gary Peluso-Verdend challenged us with the second of two lessons on Anger & Love. During his lesson, Gary referenced writings and TED talks by author Brene Brown. He sent me links to two of her TED talks, which he said that he cannot recommend highly enough. Since we have not yet sold the paintings that David Cooley generously donated, we are exploring other options of potentially selling them through Ziegler’s or Richard Neel Interiors. If anyone else has suggestions for methods to sell them, please contact Ed or Judith Payton.

WORKING COMPASSION DINNERS DURING AUGUST AND OCTOBER: Our mission projects for October will be to work at BAUMC’s Compassion Dinners. There are lots of ways in which each of us can serve, depending upon how much time we have available, so watch for the sign-up sheets to come around during class and choose your spot. These are profound experiences that will touch you deeply. If you have questions, please contact Glenna Arnott.

He is recovering but will be in hospital for several weeks.- For Royce & Sheila Parr. He is in the hospital.- For Chris Kaiser, very ill with blood infection in his leg.- For Janet Newman very ill with Wegener’s disease.- For the good teachers in Tulsa. Boston Ave. is blessed to have Patty Banes directing the preschool. We are so fortunate! She is amazing.

- For Deaconess Becky Louter, the Executive Secretary for the UMW office of Deacons & home missioner, who has been battling breast cancer for a number of years, and missed our national convocation because she is hospitalized & quite ill.- For the Rowlan family. Dr. Alan R. Rowlan, MD, was found shot to death in his backyard in OKC on Friday. Wake is Tues at 6:30 & funeral at 11:00 on Wed. in OKC.- For Robert Fortner who had bone marrow biopsy, looking for leukemia, very ill with 6% kidney function only.

- For Charlie Goble/Goble family. Pray for my Dad; my family as we grieve the passing of my mom, Paulette R. Goble. She is pain free, cancer free; dancing with Jesus. Pray for peace; healing for my Dad as he’s lost his best friend of 44 years. - For Paulette Goble, who passed away 2 days ago. May she rest in peace and be well with Jesus as her Lord.
