Monereo Meyer Marinel-lo Abogados, S.L.P. (mmmm), is a law firm
based in Spain with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, and Berli n.
The firm has a solid reputation in the international legai market and offers
its international clients a comprehensive range of multidisciplinary legai
services .
Mr. Michele Matkovic worked as a legai trainee at mmmm, in our
office situated in Passeig de Gràcia 98, 3a, 08008 Barcelona (Spain); h e started
working with us in the beginning of March 2016.
He worked mainly on competition law cases, although he often assisted
lawyers from the intellectual and industriai property section. His specific
duties included analyzing vertical agreements and their compatibility with the
relevant antitrust rules; in so doing he tackled a wide range of legai issues
always taking into account both EU law and Spanish law, for a better
assessment.
As well as this the trainee provided an in-depth antitrust analysis of the
relevant market, with regards to a cross-border merger involving one of the
mai n Spanish producers offiber glass.
Moreover, he elaborated a detailed and well-researched complaint
addressed to the Spanish Antitrust Authority on the abuse of dominant
position performed by a well-known collective management organisation,
operating in the field of copyright law within the Spanish territory.
Mr. Matkovic also provided support aiding in legai research, and
studying jurisprudence and legai doctrine for solutions to legai issues
presented by clients and lawyers.
Furthermore, with his knowledge of English, he was able to translate
without any problems various writings, briefs and contracts, from Spanish
to English and vice versa.
We have been delighted with Mr. Matkovic's excellent academic
preparation, work ethic, dil igence, responsibility, and dedication. His
motivation, commitment, and constant initiative helped him to achieve very
satisfactory results and his superb social skills have allowed him to become a
valued member of the team. Regarding the end results of Mr. Matkovic's work,
mmmm, is pleased to say that he completed his job to the fullest satisfaction
