Khalid in my opinion if a member is in the age limit of 24 to 26 years and he is unmarried he can take the

route of study visa leasing to PR but if member age is 30 and above he should only go for immigration route not

on student visa From age 26-30 they have both options and can chose as per their needs The same is based

on experience and many of my friends staying in overseas As this is life changing decision and must be

executed at the age of 24-25 years

Coming on student visa and w aiting for PR needs lots and lots of patience w hich is not easy at all I strongly

recommend to opt only the immigration channel yes this w ay also need struggle but at least one is in comfort

zone and have just to focus on earning and settling Study channel w as easy previously before GFC to come

on student visa and get settled but now DIAC has made it complicated by raising IELTS score to 8 Master

education needs lot of money and student w ho come here on student visa w ork hard to pay fees of $8k - 10k

per semester w hile w orking different odd jobs It might be w orkable before certain age as Abdul Rehman

mentioned but after passing 30 - 32 it is not recommended at all I am not sure of current assessment

equivalency for CMAs but previously all of three accounting bodies w ere giving Bachelor degree equivalence

w hich w as suff icient to apply for immigration

Dear Amjad As for as I know IELTS requirement depends on university requirements Can you elaborate

further

I agreed w ith the analysis of Mr Abdul Rehman As most of our members get membership of ICMAP at the age

of 30 or above so PR route is strongly recommended

IELTS academic is required for study visa w hich obviously depends on uni requirement For immigration general

IELTS is required w hich w as 7 in each couple of years back I am not sure about the latest requirement Those

w ho come on student visa and later apply for PR need to take tw o IELTS first one to get the admission in uni ie

IELTS academic and the second one w hile applying for PR ie IELTS general One of my friend w ho couple of

months back got PR after completing the study told me that current requirement is 8 each

Amjad bhai CPAICA australia require academic IELTS to assess the degree So I think for accountants only one

IELTS w hich is academic is applicable 8 each is only required if someone is in short of points Otherw ise 7

each allow s to get 10 points

Khalid Riaz sb pls share member email address w ho got his degree assessed

In my opinion now a days getting a student visa for Canada is more easier than immigration It is my suggestion

if anybody w ants to come to Canada heshe should go for student visa (But it requires lots of buck) Try to get

admission in English Language Courses (Sheridan College Humber College Seneca College Centennial College

- popular colleges in GTA-Greater Toronto Area) if the only purpose is to get PR Thanks

Dear Mr Khaleeq Thank you for your information How ever can you please elaborate your last sentence

regarding English Language Admission and PR Regards

Dear Nusrat I meant to say it is very easy to get admission in English Language Courses rather than other

courses (Due to various formalities like IELTS Tofel etc) Once you are here you can sw itch to other courses

as per your need and desire To be eligible to apply for PR - Permanent Residency Student must take admission

in to tw o years duration courses Moreover kindly complete CIMA before landing here in Canada to get the full

benefit of MOU betw een CMA-Ontario and CIMA

Thank you for your clarif ication I hope it w ould be beneficial for those seeking to immigrate to Canada Regards
