used in accordance with the applicable instructions for a period of one (1) year from the date

of shipment of the Products.

MMC International BV MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THERE

IS NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

The warranty provided herein and the data, specifications and descriptions of the product

appearing in MMC’s published catalogues and product literature may not be altered except by

express written agreement signed by an officer of MMC. Representations, oral or written,

which are inconsistent with this warranty or such publications are not authorized and if given,

should not be relied upon.

In the event of a breach of the foregoing warranty, MMC’s sole obligation shall be to repair or

replace, at its option, the applicable product or part thereof, at no charge, the buyer notifies

MMC promptly of any such breach.

MMC INTERNATIONAL BV SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,

advance by MMC, or otherwise used in a manner inconsistent with any instructions provided

by MMC.

In the event that MMC repairs or replaces a defective device under warranty, the repaired or

replaced product will be covered through the end of the original warranty period, but no repair

or replacement will extend the warranty term past the one (1) year anniversary of the delivery

date of the original MMC Product.

MMC shall not be responsible for any costs incurred during manufacturing (other than

replacing defective Product) should the Products fail to meet specifications.

5. How to use the Narco-Sens®

How to analyze a sample

ANALYZING

1: Start the Narco-Sens®.

2: Take a sensor from the tube and place it into slot A

3: Open the buffer solution bottle by screwing open and add the sample for the analysis.

4: Sake the buffer bottle and place 2-3 drops onto the “X” mark of the sensor.

5: Select the analyzing method (button) and press Start Scan.

6: After the Analysis Narco-Sens® will show the result.

No further analysis required

Please add more sample to the buffer and repeat the test using a new sensor

Please proceed with the other Sensor Kit such as Amphetamines

1: Take a buffer solution bottle from the kit

and screw open the large cap.

2: Grab a spatula from the kit and place a

small amount (1 scoop) of the substance

onto the spatula (Note: always crush

tablets/chunks into powder before testing)

3: Insert the spatula in the opened buffer

solution bottle and stir for 5 seconds.

4: Remove the spatula and close the buffer

solution bottle.

5: Shake the buffer solution bottle for 10

seconds and proceed with the

measurement.

1: Take a buffer solution bottle from the kit and screw

open the large cap.

2: Take a pipette from the kit and transfer 3 drops of the

liquid into the buffer solution bottle.

3: Shake the buffer solution bottle for 10 seconds and

proceed with the measurement.

1: Take a buffer solution bottle from the kit

and open the large cap.

2: Place a small amount of the plant material

into the buffer solution bottle.

3: Squeeze the buffer solution bottle against

the plant material so the active compound

will be extracted more quickly into the

buffer.

4: Shake the buffer solution bottle for 10

seconds and leave the bottle for 5minutes

and proceed with the measurement.

NOTE: The fresher the sample, the better the

result. (fresher means more active compound)

1: Take a buffer solution bottle from the kit and

screw open the large cap.

2: Take a cotton swab from the kit, place it into the

buffer solution bottle to wet it and take it out again.

3: Wipe the surface you want to test (such as walls, car

interiors, textile, tables etc.)

4: Place the cotton swab into the buffer solution bottle

again and firmly stir the swab so the sample can be

absorbed into the buffer solution.

5: Shake the buffer solution bottle for 10 seconds and

proceed with the measurement.

Cannabis & synthetic cannabis

7. Narco-Sens®kits

Currently there are 4 kits available as described below

All kits included a Tube of Sensors, Loading devices, Buffer solution bottles,

Pipettes, Cotton Swabs, Vinyl Gloves and a Quick Reference Guide.

Multi-Drugs: Use this kit if you do not know what the substance could be or when you think it could be one of the

substances in the detection list. (On the Narco-Sens device select Multi-Drugs). The same kit can be used to

detect dissolved cocaine in for instance shampoo, liquids, gel, textile etc. and identify drugs precursors.

Amphetamines: Use this kit when the substance is negative or inconclusive with the Multi-Drug Kit or if you believe it

could be amphetamines or derivatives (On the Narco-Sens device select Amphetamines / Phenylamines Verif)

GHB: Use this kit when you suspect is or may contain GHB (On the Narco-Sens device select GHB button)

Synthetic Cannabinoids: Use this kit when you believe the substance (pure or sprayed on dried, shredded plant material)

is a synthetic cannabinoid.

8. Export Page

After placing a USB Disk in the Narco-Sens® USB port, this page will allow you to export a selected

analysis or all analyses to JSON, XLXS or HTML format.

10. Configuration

On this page you can change the language of the Narco-Sens® to 22 different languages.

One of the features of the Narco-Sens® is the ability to track date and time when not connected to the

internet. This is done by the real-time chip in the Narco-Sens®. There are two options to configure this

chip. You can manually configure the chip by setting the time and date. By using the time and date

fields and pressing the button save time and date. The preferred way is to change the time zone and

click the save time zone and language button and connect the Narco-Sens® to the internet so it can

adjust the time of the system. This will happen periodically or when the Narco-Sens® has been

restarted. After the system is correctly configured it should show the correct date and time on the

bottom of the screen. The last action is to sync the system time with the chip and that is possible by

clicking the sync App- with system time button.

11. Troubleshooting

1. The Narco-Sens® doesn’t turn on

Plugin the power-cable and wait 10 minutes, so it can recharge the battery and then turn it on

again. If this doesn’t work please contact the supplier.

2. Black screen

Press the power button for 10 seconds and the Narco-Sens® turns off. Then you can safely

press the power button to start the Narco-Sens® again.

3. The Narco-Sens® doesn’t power-down

The Narco-Sens® requires 20 seconds to totally shut down.

4. Exporting errors

While exporting multiple errors can occur. The first error that can occur is that no connection

could be made with the USB. Try to put the USB in correctly. The second error that can occur

is that there was an issue with converting the data to the specified format. If this doesn’t work

please contact the supplier. The last error that can occur is that there was an issue with

deleting the data from the Narco-Sens®. Please contact the supplier in this case as well.

5. Could not connect errors

The Narco-Sens® tries to make a connection with the real time clock but fails at doing so. This

is a hardware issue so please contact the supplier if this issue persists. Another error in this

category is that when trying to do an analyses no connection could be made with the analyzer.

This is also a hardware issue so please contact the supplier if this issue persists. The general

way to fix this issue is to restart the Narco-Sens®.

6. -1, -2 Battery display

This happens when the Narco-Sens® couldn’t read the battery. This doesn’t necessarily mean

that the battery is broken just that the feedback section isn’t working. Every 30 seconds the

Narco-Sens® tries to read the battery so if this issue persists please contact the supplier.

7. Low battery error

This error can happen when the Narco-Sens® tries to download/install an update. Please plug-

in the power cable to solve this issue.

8. Unknown error

This error occurs when there is no more specific error message to show. If this error persists

please contact the supplier.

Never use the Narco-Sens® if a problem should occur.

Abnormal operations such as smoke, strange odor, no image, no sound, excessive sound,

damaged casing or elements or cables, penetration of liquids or foreign matter, etc. can

cause a fire or electrical shock. In such case, immediately turn off the Narco-Sens® and

then disconnect the power plug from the power outlet. After making sure that the smoke

or odor has stopped, contact your dealer. Never attempt to make repairs yourself because

this could be dangerous.

Use special caution for children and pets.

Incorrect handling could result in fire, electrical shock, injury, burn or vision problem.

Use special caution in households where children and pets are present.

Never disassemble and modify.

The Narco-Sens® contains high voltage components. Modification and/or disassembly

of the Narco-Sens® or accessories could result in fire or electrical shock.

• Never open the Narco-Sens®;

• Ask your supplier to repair and clean inside.

Do not give the Narco-Sens® any shock or impact.

If the Narco-Sens® should be shocked and/or broken, it could result in an injury, and

continued use could result in fire or electrical shock. If the Narco-Sens® is shocked,

immediately turn off the Narco-Sens®, disconnect the power plug from the power outlet

and contact your supplier.

Be cautious of High temperatures of the Narco-Sens®.

It could result in fire or burn. Use special caution in households where children are present.

Ask your supplier for repairs.

Be careful in handling the power cord and external connection cables.

If you keep using a damaged power cord or cables, it can cause a fire or electrical shock. Do

not apply too much heat, pressure or tension to the power cord and cables. If the power

cord or cables is damaged (exposed or broken core wires, etc.), contact your supplier.

• Do not place the Narco-Sens® or heavy objects on the power cord and cables;

• Do not pull the power cord and cables. When connecting and disconnecting the power cord or

cables, do it with your hand holding the plug or connector;

• Avoid bending the power cord sharply.
