Calif., and in about ten days the major will report at Camp Roberts. Calif., for new assignment. He was in Panama two years and three months and is glad to get back to the States. “Nogales sure looks good, it is the best looking town I have seen in a long time," he said. At Glendora. GEORGE MESTIJIAN ACCEPTED BY NAVY George Mestijian, manager of the Standard Oil service station on Grand avenue, and member of the Nogales Rotary Club, was accepted Tuesday by the Navy for general service and expects to be leaving here about the middle of May. EDGAR RAWSTHORNE AT REST CAMP Edgar Rawsthorne. son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rawsthorne of Phoenix, formerly of Nogales, is now at a rest camp in Australia after being in combat at Cape Gloucester, in the South Pacific. He has been in the marines since a year ago last Feb- ruary and overseas since the early part of July. MOVE TO DRAGGOON Mr. and Mrs. George Rusby left Monday to make their home at S. W. Fulton's Double F ranch near Draggoon where Mr. Rusby wall raise fine horses. But that’s human nature . . . Like allowing moderate beer in the Army’s post exchanges. In- stead of leading to more drink- ing, the OWI report says it works out just the opposite often as not the men choosa soda-pop or milk, with beer right there and no restrictions on it. But if it wasn't there, like in the last War, th* story might be altogether different. From where I »it, that’s how it is with Americans.
