Organization, occurs when people are without

jobs and they have actively looked for work within

the past four weeks.

O This is to measure the prevalence of

unemployment.

Types of Unemployment O Classical Unemployment

Occurs when real wages for a job are

O Cyclical or Keynesian Unemployment

Occurs when there is not enough

aggregate demand in the economy to

O Among all regions, East Asia has the largest number of

unemployed workers.

O At 39.4 million, East Asia accounts for one in every four

jobless people throughout the developing world.

O Making it the 92nd country among the highest
