If the above sentence appeared in your paper, how would you insert the parenthetical citation? The book that the quote came from was On Thin Ice (2004) by Kristi Yamaguchi, page 12. Write out the entire sentence for your answer.

Since you already mentioned the author’s last name in the sentence, you only need the page number in the parenthesis. Note that the period goes on the outside.
