INNOVATIVE SPLIT TAILGATE FOR EASY LOADINGIn designing the Outlander we have thought of everything to make loading and unloading easier. Its

spacious interior has a generous amount of cargo space, accessible by a unique, easy-to-operate

split tailgate that opens in a ‘clamshell’ fashion. You will find it easy to load packages just by

opening the larger upper section. The lower tailgate, with anti-drop function, provides a flat

surface to slide packages into the cargo area.

SMART KEYLESS ENTRY AND IGNITION

The Outlander also features a clever keyless

entry and start system. It allows you to open the

front doors and tailgate and start the engine

without the key leaving your pocket or purse.

BIG ON BIG LUGGAGE

Flexible seating and expandable luggage space

make weekend getaways, holidays and shopping

expeditions easier. The reclining rear seats,

that split 60/40, can be folded down to create

a fully flat floor area. Creating generous

luggage space.

SIT HERE

In fact, the lower part of the split tailgate is

surprisingly multi-functional. Designed to with-

stand loads up to 200 kg, it can be used for a

number of outdoor activities, like a seat for up

to two adults and to support heavy equipment.

Generously long, wide and tall, with elevated seating and plenty

of legroom, the Outlander’s cabin is a particularly pleasant and

comfortable place to be. The Outlander’s sporty design DNA is

carried to the deeply contoured front seats, which provide the

ideal support for its sporty performance.

Offering five or seven seat flexibility, the Outlander is designed

as a stylish living space that is able to suit all requirements.

With inventive versatility to match. In fact no space is left

unused. To keep valuables out of sight, the Outlander interior

provides numerous storage compartments in, for example, the

armrest, dashboard and on top of each wheelhouse.

To provide generous cargo-carrying versatility, the Outlander

features second-row 60/40 split seats. These can easily be

tumbled forward by pulling one of the release knobs located

on each side of the trunk. Balancing your needs for utility,

passenger room and comfort, the clever Hide & Seat third row

seats provide two extra passenger seats when required. Or stow

them flat under the floor to provide a generous amount of extra

luggage space. Models without the third-row seats have an

under-floor storage area instead.

the high-powered 650-watt Rockford Fosgate premium audio system. Custom-tuned specifically for

the Outlander. Its 8-channel amplifier pumps music through nine speakers. A subwoofer delivers

stunning base response. Saturday night will never be the same.

The Rockford Fosgate premium audio system is

equipped with a 6-CD changer (MP3 compatible)

and AM/FM radio. There is also the possibility

to enhance your driving pleasure with our multi

communication system. Boasting a 30GB hard

drive, it can hold more than enough navigation

maps for the whole of Europe and store several

thousand songs. The Outlander steering

wheel-mounted control buttons manage the

audio system, Bluetooth hands-free phone kit

and cruise control.

Driving performance

To provide confident handling capability, from motorway cruising to snow covered

dirt tracks, the Outlander features All-Wheel Control (AWC). This combines the

electronically controlled 4WD system with the Active Stability and Traction

Control systems. AWC provides incredible grip and handling on slippery surfaces.

Simply select the best mode—2WD, 4WD or Lock— from the drive-mode selector

dial on the centre console and the Outlander alters the drive train to deliver

secure steering under the most challenging driving conditions.

DIAL FOR ADVENTURE 2WD MODE

Allows the driver to select front-wheel drive for the more economical fuel consumption.

4WD MODE

On-demand 4WD mode provides stable performance on a wide range of surfaces.

It also will automatically send power to the rear wheels, depending on driving and road surface conditions.

4WD LOCK MODE

Immediate torque is available for the rear wheels. Especially useful for gravel paths, towing and driving on slippery

and snowy roads.

TURNING CORNERS AND HEADS WITH EASEThe 2.0 litre engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox offers superb

performance and excellent fuel efficiency.

The sport-oriented suspension tuning is reassuringly sure-footed

and with a superb level of ride comfort. Performance is enhanced

by the highly rigid body structure, with an aluminium roof that

lowers the centre of gravity for outstanding handling stability

and minimum body roll.

Safety

Making safety a top priority, the active and passive safety features of the Outlander are among the

best in its class. Driver and passengers are protected with standard front and side airbags, as well

as standard side-curtain airbags and energy-absorbing head protection interior pillars. To make

fitting child seats quick, simple and secure, the second row seats feature built in ISOFIX anchors.

Reassuringly, the rigid body design provides collision safety regardless of the direction of impact.

The elevated seating and superior position offers an extra degree of all-round visibility and driver

safety.

The Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body is

designed to greatly improve occupant safety in

the unlikely event of a collision, regardless of

The safety package also includes an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force

Distribution (EBD) and brake assist, front seatbelts with variable force limiters and pretensioners.
