Course DescriptionThis course will provide students with the necessary knowledge as well as mastery of developing interactive websites and web-based systems.
The course will also provide the students working knowledge of the current technologies in web development.
Course ObjectiveAt the end of the term, the student is expected to be familiar with the underlying principles and technologies in web development. Specifically, the student should be able to:Conceptualize, design and develop unique and interactive web pages.Apply the theories, principles and technologies in web design and development.Design and developed interactive websites and web-based systems.
Learning OutcomesStudents will learn to program in a current client-side scripting language.Students will learn how to bring together client-side and server-side scripting to create a real-world solution for a contemporary web site.Students will exercise creativity by envisioning and creating a Web site that serves a useful purpose and exhibits their skill.Students will gain experience working with teammates on a web design project involving the creation of a site with enhanced functionality.
