programs, and policies. • Goal 2, Objective 2.2: Assist in integrating hazard mitigation concept into other local
and regional planning efforts such as comprehensive plans, local mitigation strategies, and comprehensive emergency management plans.
• Goal 4, Objective 4.1: Support land acquisition programs that reduce or eliminate potential future losses due to natural hazards and that are compatible with the protection of natural or cultural resources.

about available funding sources and a timeline of availability they can help families and property owners make decisions about approaches to mitigating during the long-term recovery process, which also may bear on alternatives for construction and local permitting.

• Private Non-Profit Houses of Worship (PNPHW) • Recent changes to eligibility of Private Non-Profit Houses
of Worship (PNPHW) now allow them to be their own sub-applicant under the HMGP just like any other Private Non-Profit. • Eligible mitigation projects for PNPHW are no longer
limited to activities that only benefit the whole community and may be for the primary benefit of the PNPHW.
