Mission Statement

The Buckeye Ranch offers a full continuum of services ranging from outpatient and community based programs to higher levels of care including residential treatment. Additional programs along the continuum service unique populations including transitional age youth, Somali families, and children in care and out of home placement.

ADMISSIONS & ENGAGEMENTThe Buckeye Ranch Admissions and Engagement Team manage referrals and complete admissions to all Buckeye Ranch programs. Upon admission, comprehensive diagnostic assessments and referrals to

services are completed for all youth entering care through Same Day Access programming. Appropriate level of care is assessed to determine the most appropriate supportive services to treat the mental health needs of youth and families. The Buckeye Ranch recognizes providing care, in the immediate time of need, is integral in supporting and engaging families in treatment. Admissions and Engagement staff supports this need by

offering walk-in hours for assessment ensuring access to care is readily available and easily accessible.

RESIDENTIALThe Buckeye Ranch residential program is a secure facility for youth struggling with mental health and

behavioral problems. All units tailor treatment plans for each child. A plethora of services is available to all youth including weekly individual counseling sessions, family counseling, group therapy, psychiatric services, animal-assisted therapy, art therapy, music therapy, horticulture therapy, sports teams, play therapy, a variety

of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and much more. On-site schooling is provided to all youth from South-Western City Schools.

COMMUNITY BASED AND DAY TREATMENT

The Buckeye Ranch offers an extensive continuum of care within community based programs. Programs along the continuum use evidence-informed and evidence-based interventions, in collaboration with other systems, to provide the best possible treatment options. Our services provide youth and their families with

comprehensive and individualized mental health and substance abuse counseling and treatment. Our community based programs include an extensive continuum of services to support a myriad of mental health needs. Programs and services offered in the community include outpatient individual and family counseling,

outpatient group counseling, home based treatment programs, psychiatric medication services, and day treatment programs. Day treatment specializes in supporting youth with behavioral and emotional problems

impeding success in a traditional school environment.

FOSTER CAREThe Buckeye Ranch Foster Care is a network of treatment foster homes and service providers committed to the well-being of youth and families who need security and assistance. The program provides foster

parenting for children from infancy through 18 years of age and sometimes beyond. The Buckeye Ranch has foster homes located across the state of Ohio.

The Buckeye Ranch is an independent, non-profit organization recognized under IRS regulations as a 501c3. It is a Title IV-E and Medicaid provider. Leadership at The Buckeye Ranch is provided by the Holding Company Board of

Directors, Foundation Board of Directors, and the Operations Board of Directors.
