May 14, 2017 Hello Church! For those who do not know me, my name is Ashley Collins and I am one of your summer youth interns! I am blessed to be interning for a second summer with all the kiddos that I have come to love and adore! The thought of being back with my kids this summer and back with my church family has gotten me through a challenging year of nursing school. I want to say thank you for having me back and showing me more love and encouragement than I could have ever imagined! Love is a concept that God has given us and taught us through the Bible and His unfailing grace. One person that has taught me what love is here on this Earth and continues to teach me how to show love in all things is my own Mom. Mothers, Grandmothers, and even Mother figures are a blessing from God and something for which we should always be thankful. Happy Mother’s Day (Hey kiddos, spoil your Mamas today ok?)!! My name is Ethan Brown and I am a senior nursing student at Harding University. I am from Urbana, Ohio and I am very excited to serve in Houston this summer! I am looking forward to learning about this city, your church and the youth ministry here. I am excited to get to know your kids and I hope to help them thrive during this summer while striving to know Christ better. This Mother’s Day, I would like to thank my mom for always demonstrating Christ and for showing me unconditional love… no matter where I am in this world! I am Collin Deister, one of the youth interns this summer. I am really happy for the opportunity to serve the youth group this summer, and also to write on Mother’s Day! My mom is a very special and amazing woman. She is caring, smart, and she loves everyone. Throughout all my life she has helped me countless times whether it be with friends, school, my faith, and more. I love my mom! Thank you Mom for caring, nurturing, and guiding me throughout my life.
