4th Sunday of Easter: “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ…” ACTS 2:38The word “repent” means to turn from sin, to change our actions. Change that is permanent comes from within. It requires prayer, discipline and perseverance. Change is also hard. We have to recognize that we are broken and need help. The good news - we are not alone in our journey. Ask Jesus daily for guidance and patiently listen for his response.Learn how you can show your gratitude and thanks by supporting your parish and contact The Catholic Foundation. Coronavirus Response. For an updated listing of resources to get help, opportunities to provide help, and ways for families to strengthen their faith amid the COVID-19 pandemic, visit www.columbuscatholic.org/coronavirus-response.Laudato Si’ Activity Packet is available for families, schools, and PSR programs. During this challenging time of observing social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Catholics can still grow deeper in their faith and care for our common home, the earth, and our brothers and sisters in need. As this year marks the 5th anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical letter Laudato Si’ On Care for Our Common Home and the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the diocesan Creation Care Team has developed suggested activities to express care for God’s creation. To download the packet, visit www.columbuscatholic.org/care-for-creation.

The Knights of Columbus is an international Order of Catholic men who are called to lead with faith, protect our families, serve others and defend values in a busy changing world. Our local council, St Mark #15447 held a membership drive and we might have missed you. Whether you become an individual member or a member of our council you will find that Knights of Columbus membership brings Catholic men together in a powerful way. If you would like to join today, simply go to KofC.org/joinus and enter our council #15447 for local information.

Living I Do: Emily Post says that “manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others.” It is easy to be more aware of our own feelings, especially in reaction to our spouse. Instead of focusing on your spouse’s words, focus on the feelings that lie behind them. You may be surprised at what you find, and your manners toward your spouse may change as a result.

Blessed Palms, the publication Word Among Us and Holy Water, weekly bulletin (bring your own containers) are still available outside by the front door. Please only come if you must make a necessary trip out.

COVID-19 virus PrayerLoving and Faithful God, through your prophet you assure us of your Love during this “cornoa-chaos” time, when fear wants to overtake us. In these days of not knowing what will be, help us to trust in your presence with us always, as we live into what is. May we place our hope for what will be in Your unshakable covenant of Peace. May our faithfulness to that covenant bring each of us to a new perspective on our life so that together we can realize your promise of Peace. We ask this as we ask all things in the name of Jesus who lives and loves forever. Amen“Dominican Sisters of Peace”We are by no means thinking about tithing at this time, our parishioner’s safety is our top priority, especially knowing the financial hardship many of us will be facing, however some parishioners have asked how they can give to the church: Mail your gifts in or bring them when we see you again, Text to give by texting 740-205-8223 and of course online giving (available at www.stmarklancaster.com). Remember keeping you and your family safe is the most important thing at this time. Be safe and God Bless.
