PRAYER AND WORSHIP
LOVE OF NEIGHBOR The Lord Jesus presents wholehearted love of God and neighbor as the key to eternal life. It is not a law beyond us but is “in our mouth and in our heart for our observance.” In the almost too familiar story of the good Samaritan, the priest and the Levite pass by and the foreigner does the healing work.
“Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us” is partially explained here. Our neighbors tie us to the cross of the Christ by which we are saved and raised up. It is an exacting joy! Text, Philip J. Sandstrom, STD © 2000, OCP.

th at 7:00pm.

Fr. Ray’s Prayer-Poem for July 10th
Part I…in the words of the Gospel of Luke 10:25
“There was a scholar of the law who stood up to test him and said,
‘Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’”
Part II…in another’s words, a prayer-poem –
my usual way of thinking about my life as it unfolds daily is just a bit too small
for life eternal (all that could mean) is actually my heritage in this moment as it wraps itself around and flows through each and every part of life
[a peace-full “amen”] - fr. Ray
