Dear Sisters and Brothers of the San Pedro Region,
I am excited to welcome you to the 2018 San Pedro Regional Congress. Having been a pastor at two parishes of the region, St. Pius X in Santa Fe Springs from 2001-2004 and St. Margaret Mary in Lomita from 2010-2013, it is truly wonderful to be with you once again. As the new regional bishop, I look forward to meeting you. This year’s theme for the Congress, “Rejoice in God’s Radiance” invites us all to respond to God’s loving kindness. As catechists and parish ministers, we have a call to live lives that reflect the Good News that we share. As missionary disciples of Jesus, we are the face of God’s mercy. The wonderful organizers and speakers for this Congress challenge us to radiate the joy of that message. This annual gathering for catechists, youth leaders, musicians, teachers, parish staff and volunteers gives us the opportunity to meet fellow laborers in the Lord’s vineyard. May it be a time of renewed faith and zeal. A special thank you goes to the parish leaders, catechists and the Office of Religious Education staff for their enthusiastic work on this gathering. May all of our efforts bear great fruit.

Estimados hermanas y hermanos de la región de San Pedro,
Estoy emocionado de darles la bienvenida al Congreso Regional San Pedro del 2018. Después de haber sido pastor en dos parroquias de la región, St. Pius X en Santa Fe Springs de 2001-2004 y St. Margaret Mary en Lomita de 2010-2013, es realmente maravilloso estar con ustedes una vez más. Dearest Friends,
It brings me great joy to have the opportunity to welcome all of you to our annual San Pedro Regional Religious
Education Congress. Our theme this year “Rejoice in god’s radiance has its roots in the Gospel of
Luke 10:17-24 Jesus himself tells us to rejoice because our names are written in heaven We, as his disciples, sons and
daughters of our loving God can do the same. Especially when we can rejoice for the marvelous things that our
heavenly father is doing in our midst and in return for such great blessings we rejoice in God’s Radiance. We allow our
lives to speak to the Glory of His name.
As you look through the workshops, being offered please keep in mind others that might benefit from this enriching
day and share this information with them. I challenge you to choose three workshops that will help you become more
effective in your ministry of Catechesis, will nourish your hunger for learning more about your faith and will help you
grow personally and spiritually.
We continue to honor catechists who have been nominated and selected to receive the Excellence in Catechetical
Service Awards, because of their exemplary service to their faith communities. See page 28 for further details. We are
proud of their commitment to share the Good News. Maybe you will be awarded this recognition in the near future

Religiosa de la Región Pastoral de San Pedro. Nuestro tema este año “¡RegocÍate en la radianza de dios!
esta enraizado en el evangelio de San Lucas 10:17-24 Donde el mensaje de Jesus nuestro señor nos dice“¡RegocÍate
pues nuestros nombres están escritos en el cielo . Si Él se expresa de esa manera, entonces también nosotros que
somos sus discípulos e hijos e hijas de nuestro amado Dios Padre, podemos regocijarnos en la radianza de Dios!
especialmente por las maravillas que Dios hace en nuestras vidas.
Únanse a mí para proclamar esta verdad con sus vidas y a quienes sirven en su ministerio, niños, jóvenes, adultos,
familiares y amigos y compañeros de trabajo.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - RCIA Exploring the liturgical and catechetical connections
Exploring the liturgical and catechetical connections
The Office for Worship (OFW) in collaboration with the Office of Religious Education presents again a program to train catechists to
minister to adults and children of a catechetical age who seek Baptism in the Church. During this program, team members explore the
connections between good liturgy and good catechesis. We will do this by presenting a series of interactive workshops that will give an
overview of the Initiation process and the prayer experiences that that drive the process. This will offer participants the opportunity to
experience and personally reflect on significant aspects of the ritual. We will present a different step of the Initiation process in each
pastoral region. Presenters include experienced Initiation ministers from around the archdiocese as well as neighboring dioceses.
Bring your Rite book to the sessions.
The OFW again will offer a certificate in Basic Initiation Ministry for those who participate in all five-day long workshops and complete the
project in a related parish ministry. Completion of certification may be done one year or extended over a three-year period. For those
who attended some but not all the classes last year you need only attend the sessions you missed last year.
If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, registration for the three-session track in each pastoral region is necessary in order to
ensure your place. We will keep attendance for each session in each region. Certificates granted based on attendance at all 15 sessions
and satisfactory completion of the project relative to the parish ministry of the candidate.
The OFW is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the Regional Catechetical Congresses to offer this formation opportunity.

Rito de Iniciacion Cristiano para Adultos - RICA Explorando las conexiones de la Liturgia y la Catequesis
La Oficina de Liturgia (OFW) en colaboración con la Oficia de Educación Religiosa de nuevo presenta un programa para entrenar
catequistas que trabajan con adultos y niños en edad catequética que buscan ser Bautizados en la Iglesia. Nuestra meta es retar a los
miembros de los equipos de Iniciación a explorar los enlaces entre una buena liturgia y una buena catequesis. Presentaremos una serie de
talleres que les dará una visión de conjunto del proceso de Iniciación, así como la experiencia de oración para que los participantes tengan
la oportunidad de experimentar y reflexionar personalmente en los aspectos significantes del proceso. Presentaremos las diferentes
etapas del proceso de Iniciación en cada una de las regiones. Los presentadores serán Maestros con Experiencia en Iniciación de la
Arquidiócesis, así como de las diócesis vecinas. Trae sus libros (RICA) a las sesiones
La Oficina (OFW) ofrecerá un certificado de Formación Básica de Iniciación para aquellos que participen en todos los talleres en todas las
cinco regiones durante todo el día y completen un Trabajo (tarea) relacionado al ministerio parroquial. Esta certificación se podrá
completar en un periodo de un año o extenderse a un periodo de tres años. Para aquellos que atendieron varias de las clases, pero no
todas deberán de asistir solo a las que les faltaron el año pasado.
Si tú quieres tomar ventaja de esta oportunidad, tendrás que registrarte en las tres sesiones en cada región pastoral para que asegures tu
lugar. Se tomará asistencia en cada sesión en cada región. Los Certificados se les darán de acuerdo y basado en la asistencia de todas las
15 sesiones y completado el Trabajo relativo al ministerio parroquial del candidato.

A-10 - The Awe! Factor: Forming Faith Through Science In a world created by God, our faith formation tool belt needs to be equipped
with the best that creation has to offer! Come and learn some fun and easy-to-master science demonstrations that help teach major
concepts of our faith. Your students will not only love the hands on experience but enjoy discovering God through science. Be the
“awe”some faith formation teacher that God calls you to be when you add the “awe” factor to your class!
Mrs. Melanie Bailey Melanie Bailey has a Master’s degree in Theology and is currently Coordinator of Catechetical Programs at Holy Name of
Mary Church in San Dimas, CA. Involved in parish ministries for the past 20 years, she loves the challenge and the joy of sharing our Catholic
faith and traditions with elementary students.
A-11 - Forgiveness: Great for the soul, wonderful for the Brain. Paul Brogan invites us to discover the powerful model Jesus provides us in
forgiveness, and the effective ways forgiveness can be integrated into various facets of our lives. Jesus is the model of forgiveness and asks
us to forgive; however this is not always easy! This presentation will provide us with an understanding of the link between unresolved
anger and forgiveness. We will study how God has designed our brains to understand, process and benefit from forgiveness. It will provide
you with powerful new tools to be able to forgive.
Mr. Paul Brogan, MFT is a Catholic Marriage and Family Therapist in Encino. He also teaches in the Psychology Department at Mount St.
Mary’s College in Los Angeles. He teaches classes on Loss and Grief, Trauma, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Bullying and Truancy, and Spousal
Abuse. Originally from Ireland, he has completed graduate studies in theology and psychology and he regularly presents at local schools and
parishes.

other teaching methods to engage our students whether you are high tech, low tech, or no tech.
Ms. Raquel Cagigas calling and ministry began on the grounds of Mission San Gabriel; this was her parish, elementary and high school. She
left Southern California for St. Mary's College of California in Moraga graduating in 2000 with a BS in Psychology and Religious Studies. She then
proceeded into a pastoral ministry program at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California. Completing her MA for a Multicultural
Church in 2004 she remained in the bay area 3 more years as a High School Youth Ministry and Confirmation Coordinator at the Catholic
Community of Pleasanton. Moving back to the Los Angeles Area she took the Campus Ministry position at San Gabriel Mission High School
where she has been teaching religion and psychology as well as theory of knowledge in the IB program for over 10 years. As a life-long learner
she acquired her second masters in Catholic School Administration and is currently the Assistant Principal at San Gabriel Mission High School.
Raquel was commissioned in 2012 as a Master Catechist for the state of California and has been a High School Confirmation program consultant
and ministry formation center team member in both the San Gabriel and San Pedro regions.
A-13 - Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, And Other Marian Places: The Message of Mary Rooted in our Baptismal Calling We look to the
Blessed Virgin as our mother. On the Cross, Jesus entrusted us to her and her to us. We look to her as our intercessor and model of
discipleship. We find strength in following her virtues and after 2000 years of Christianity, Mary continues to inspire us in our journey of
faith. How can we continue to grow in our understanding of her role and at the same time make it relevant to our times now? Our love
and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, in fact, brings us back to the fruits of our Baptismal calling and gift of sharing the common
priesthood of Christ.
Fr. Raymond Vicente Decipeda Fr. Raymond, as he is called by most people is a member of the Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross, a
religious institute of consecrated life founded in the Philippines. He joined the MMHC after finishing high school at Don Bosco Technical Institute
in the City of Makati, Philippines. He is the youngest of 5 children. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education; finished his Theology at
Maryhill School of Theology; Licentiate in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of Santo Tomas and took Masteral Studies in Clinical
Psychology at the same school. He speaks English, Tagalog, Spanish and celebrates Mass in Sign Language. He has served is various capacities-
Rector of Seminary (Philosophy & Theology); Defender of the Bond (Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Manila and Los Angeles);
previous Pastor of Holy Family Church, Artesia and now serving as Pastor of St. John of God. He is also very involved in Prison Ministry. He has
been giving retreats, parish Lenten Missions and spiritual conferences for more than 30 years. He is just blessed to be able to serve wherever the
Lord calls him.

the Eucharist and what that means to us; showing how the Eucharist is prefigured in the Old Testament and explained in the New

coordinator and DFF. Joe also serves as the Director of the Dive-In Series; an yearly Lenten adult formation series offered in Long Beach
and South Bay parishes.

Mr. Warren G. Kunkle is presently an educational consultant for William H. Sadlier Inc. He is a Master Catechist and volunteers in his parish

other ministries over the past 30+ years. With his wife, Elga and their three young adult sons’, a broader understanding of the realities of our
“domestic” church and its unique challenges, will be fore-front in this presentation.

A-19 - Revisiting the Garden of Eden With a Jewish Tour Guide Come read the story of the Garden of Eden through Jewish eyes with the
insights that Hebrew and modern scholarship bring! We will read the text carefully and examine 1- why there are two stories of creation: 2-
which of the characters speak the whole truth: 3- what exactly was the bone from which the woman was made: 4- the clear and surprising
reason that Adam and Eve were expelled: and 5- whether the act of eating the fruit (not clear that it was an apple) was really a sin or
whether God set them up for an important, divine purpose.
Rabbi Michael Lotker comes to us with a wealth of experience. A Phi Beta Kappa/Magna Cum Laude physicist, he spent the bulk of his first
career in the alternative energy business, working in wind power, solar and geothermal energy. About 500 of the windmills that are spinning in
Palm Springs, California were financed and installed by a company that Mike was President of. In 2003, he was ordained as a rabbi at Hebrew
Union College in Los Angeles, where he also received his Master of Hebrew Letters degree. He is presently Rabbi for the Jewish Community of
Ojai, California and the Community Rabbi for the Jewish Federation of Ventura County. In addition to his studies, Mike has published a book for
the Paulist Press entitled "A Christian's Guide to Judaism."

Kim Scott is a pastoral ministry and leadership consultant, Bringing to the table more than 20 years of corporate experience in Human Resources
and 10 years of hands-on ministry insight. Kim is a Master Catechist and has been described by many as a modern day
theologian. Her charisms are wisdom, writing, leadership, and teaching. She is gifted with a keen insight of God’s pesence in her life. She uses
insight from her lived experiences, a dysfunctional family, racial discrimination in the church and in society, challenges with becoming a mother,

A-23 - Spiritual Praying with children: Let’s not just talk about prayer A brief synopsis of the catechesis of prayer will be presented. Then
ways to lead children in prayer will be explored. Pope Francis stressed the importance of teaching children how to show love for God
through prayer. “It is beautiful when mothers teach their little children to blow a kiss to Jesus or to Our Lady. What tenderness there is in
this!” he said. “In that moment the child's heart is transformed into a place of prayer. And this is a gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Ms. Helen Marie Slaton Marie Slaton began her ministry in education in 1967 at St. Bonaventure School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since then she
has taught grade school, high school , and college classes. She has served as a national speaker as a Certified Activity Consultant. She is a
graduate of the Bible Institute and is a Master Catechist. She has twice been a presenter at the National Youth Ministry Conference. Her ministry
is to pass on the faith in creative ways that energize both students and their catechist. Practical materials are a component of her presentation.

four different biographies of Jesus—how do we make sense of it all? Join Deacon Jim for a short "guided tour" through the New Testament
based work done by Dr. John Bergsma. The workshop focuses on four main authors—Matthew, Luke, Paul, and John—who together give
us almost 90 percent of the New Testament. If we can just understand these four, we will get the "big idea" of the New Testament. This

Dcn. James Carper is a recognized authority in Catholic stewardship and an experience leader in developing support for faith-based

Mr. Dominik Gnirs Dominik Gnirs is the Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation at the Office of Religious Education in Los Angeles. He holds
a Magister in Theology from the University of Vienna, Austria. He has been in Youth Ministry for 15 years and directed youth retreats and
worked for the Kardinal Konig Haus Adult Education Center in Vienna. He lives with his wife in Central Los Angeles.
C-15 - Understanding Who Jesus Is Who is Jesus? How would you answer this question? As Christians we should be able to answer this
confidently, but sometimes we have trouble with it. This is not something to be taken lightly. Learn who Jesus was according to Scripture

C-16 - The Catechist, Spirituality and Missionary Discipleship Vatican II teaches that we are called to holiness. Through the journey to
holiness we discover a spiritual path. This session will look at our path to holiness through the lens of missionary discipleship and how
catechesis is a vital work for equipping disciples to share the Tradition of the Church.

Mrs. Dione Grillo is the Coordinator of Advanced Catechetical Ministries and Basic Catechist Formation for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Formerly she served as Elementary Consultant for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Director of Children's Ministry at St. John Eudes in Chats-
worth, CA. While her educational background prepared her to attend law school, she opted instead to answer the call to service. She has served
on the Early Childhood Board for 13 years and has presented workshops at the L.A. Religious Education Congress, Regional Congresses, and
parishes. She is an MA Candidate at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL and plans to graduate this year in December.

Mrs. Jeannie Nestojko has served in catechetical ministry at St. Catherine Laboure parish since 1973. She is also a Master Catechist, and in
May of 2014 was among the first in the nation to receive National Certification as a Lay Ecclesial Minister. She has experience at all levels of
religious education. She is currently retired from full-time ministry. Jeannie's passions are faith formation, Scripture, and prayer, as well as
spending time with her large family.

C-20 - Praying the Psalms Although a revered part of the Church’s liturgical tradition, and despite the specific encouragement of the Fa-
thers of Vatican Council II, the regular practice of liturgical psalm prayer is virtually unknown to most Catholics. This is a pity insofar as
modern technological advances have opened new possibilities for this ancient prayer form and have removed some of the obstacles and
impediments that have relegated these scriptural prayers to the attic of our liturgical history. In this presentation, we will visit some of the
history and theology, address the challenges, and suggest some possibilities and opportunities for praying The Prayer of the Church.
Mr. Steve Picard holds an M.A. in Theology from Loyola Marymount University. His primary theological interest is the study of Sacred Scrip-
ture, and the implementation of successful strategies for increasing biblical literacy in the Catholic parish. He has coordinated the scripture study
program at St. Jerome Parish in Westchester for more than 15 years. As a member of the organizing team of LA Catholic Bible Institute--a 3-year
program of scriptural formation administered by the LA Archdiocese Office of Religious Education in partnership with Loyola Marymount--Steve
trains bible study facilitators for parishes of the Los Angeles Archdiocese.

are too busy, distracted, or unaware of how to pray in this way. In this experiential workshop, you will practice quieting your mind and
opening your heart to God’s loving presence within. Guided visualizations, music, and quiet prayer will rejuvenate and refresh you, so that
you may continue your ministry with enthusiasm, grace, and love. As St. Teresa of Avila says, "contemplation is nothing more than a close
sharing between friends, it means taking time frequently to be alone with Him who we know loves us." The Lord calls each of us to
this intimate friendship with him. Breathing in God: The Heart of Christian Meditation is an opportunity to learn how to respond to that
call.
Ellie Ragonese has been a religious educator for over 25 years. Prior to her call to ministry, she was a singer/songwriter performing rock music
in L.A. Disconcerted by the music business she began seeking a way to experience God more deeply and discovered the richness of meditation
through the practice of Buddhism and Hinduism. Eventually, the Lord prompted her conversion back to her Catholic roots through the Blessed
Mother and the Rosary. Her B.A. in music gave her the foundation for composing Christian music and some years later she acquired her M.A. in
Religious Studies from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. After retiring from classroom teaching, she developed the workshop and retreat
series entitled, “Prayer of the Heart: a workshop on Christian Meditation and Contemplative Prayer” for the liturgical seasons. Ellie’s love for God
and meditation inspired her desire to share the practice of Christian meditation with others. Ellie’s recordings of her original Christian music and

catequista y padre de familia. Chicago sigue siendo su hogar aunque vive por más de 12 años en McAllen, Texas con su esposa Estela y sus cuatro
hijos. Obtuvo su bachillerato en Arquitectura y desde entonces ha servido a la Iglesia en diferentes posiciones de carácter administrativo, de
recursos humanos y Justicia Social. Martin ha trabajado en una editorial católica por más de siete años como consultor catequético y

del servidor católico tomar muy en serio su llamado. Particularmente nos enfocaremos en la espiritualidad evangélica que debe
desarrollar y en las cualidades o virtudes que debe cultivar, así como en los “vicios” que debe de evitar para formar un buen carácter que
le lleve a manifestar un testimonio más creíble de lo que su ministerio representa.
Jose Luis Elias José Luis Elias sirve a la Iglesia como Director de Educación y Programas de Formación en el Departamento Vida, Dignidad y
Justicia de nuestra Diócesis de San Bernardino. Es encargado de crear e implementar los cursos sobre la Justicia Social y el Respeto a la Vida de
acuerdo a la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia. José Luis ha sido director del Instituto de Formación para los Ministerios y Coordinador de Formación
por 10 años. Gran parte de su vida la ha dedicado a la evangelización y a la formación de los laicos. José Luis es Instructor en varios institutos
pastorales en California y Nevada. Ha recibido entrenamiento para facilitar Programas de Formación de Adultos en la Universidad Loyola de
Nueva Orleans y ha participado en varios eventos nacionales para la promoción y el desarrollo del Ministerio Eclesial Laico. Posee una Maestría
en Teología y actualmente estudia el Doctorado en Ministerio en la Universidad Barry de Miami.
C-54 - Como, cuando y que debes preguntar El detective William Woolf escribio una vez en un articulo para Virtus: "Mi equipo una vez
rescato una niña de 17 años de edad que habia sido explotada desde que tenia 14 años. Durante ese tiempo asistio a los grupos de
jovenes de la iglesia, a la escuela y a los programas despues de la escuela. Al hablar con ella le pregunte como era posible que permanecio
atrapada en ese estilo de vida durante tanto tiempo, cuando estaba rodeada de tantos adultos. Ella me dijo que nadie le pregunto si se
encontraba bien y "si alguien simplemente me hubiera preguntado lo que estaba pasando, les habria dicho, pero a nadie le importe lo
suficiente para preguntar, entonces por que habria de preocupartme por mi misma?". Como puedes reconocer las señales si uno de los
niños que asiste a tu clase esta siendo traficado o esta en peligro de convertirse en victim del trafico humano? En este taller, te dare
herramientas y te educare como puedes reconocer las señales y que puedes hacer para ayudar.
Mrs. Ana L. Gomez Ana es originaria de Guatemala, así como es su esposo Carlos. Ellos tienen una hermosa familia de 4 estudiantes
universitarios. Ana es un catequista de maestros de la Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles. Ella comenzó a trabajar en el campo de la trata de personas
hace más de cuatro años. Ella ha hablando acerca de la trata humana en varias parroquias de Los Ángeles y del Condado de Orange, y fue
invitada como conferecista al simposio Escuela Media Hammilton en Long Beach. Su objetivo es llevar conciencia y educación a toda la
comunidad Latina sobre cómo se puede luchar contra la trata de personas y cómo pueden proteger a sus hijos de este terrible crimen

alegría y felicidad? Una mirada a la rapidez o transcurso de los años postreros de la vida y encontrar que sigue teniendo sabor o como
diría Celia Cruz <azúcar> para encontrar el dulce que siempre hemos saboreado al vivir cada día con el sabor de la alegría que solamente
Dios nos puede ofrecer.
Ms. Lourdes González-Rubio Lourdes González-Rubio es la Coordinadora de Ministerios Catequísticos Básicos y Avanzados en Español
para la Oficina de Educación Religiosa de nuestra Arquidiócesis desde 1991. Colaboró con la Oficina para el Culto Divino, también de nuestra,
Arquidiócesis, dando entrenamiento a los ministros litúrgicos desde 1986, tiene treinta años de experiencia en la pastoral hispana. Ha sido
invitada a dar conferencias en las Diócesis de San Diego, Fresno, Sacramento, San Bernardino y Oakland. Es aurtora de dos libros de poesía y
uno de reflexiónes para la compañía Ligoure, titulado “Entre Diosito y yo”.

Domingo de Adviento de este año. En este taller, nos familiarizaremos con algunos textos relevantes del Misal Romano para utilizarlo
como un magnifico recurso tanto para la catequesis pre-sacramental como para nuestras celebraciones litúrgicas.

C-59 - Herramientas Para Construir Puentes De Comunicación Este taller está inspirado por el libro más nuevo de padre James Martin
S.J. “Construyendo Puentes: Cómo la Iglesia Católica y la Comunidad LGBT Pueden Entablar una Relación Basada en el Respeto, la
Compasión y la Sensibilidad”. Llevaremos a cabo ejercicios prácticos para desarrollar nuestro entendimiento de la empatía y nuestra
capacidad de escucha. Éstas herramientas serán beneficiosas no solo para facilitar relaciones constructivas con la comunidad LGBT y sus
familias, sino para cualquier otro ministerio y para mejorar el diálogo en cualquiera de los temas díficiles de hoy en día.
Lic. Yunuen Trujillo Lic. Yunuen Trujillo ha trabajado por más de 10 años con grupos de jóvenes adultos. Como parte del Equipo de
Pastoral Juvenil Arquidiocesana, ha sido conferencista y coordinadora regional, encargada de programas de formación, y conductora de “PJLA
Radio-TV”. Su especialidad en el ministerio es Doctrina Social de la Iglesia y es líder comunitaria en temas como inmigración, educación, etc.
Actualmente forma parte del Ministerio Católico con Personas Gay y Lesbianas CMLGP, ministerio arquidiocesano, y estudia su Doctorado en
Leyes en la Universidad de La Verne.

fragmentada y urgida del fuego del amor de Dios. VEN enciende la llama de la MISION en tu CORAZON.
Sister Luz Dari Villera Religiosa de la Comunidad Hermanitas de la Anunciación. Trabaja en la Parroquia St. Michael de Los Angeles como
Directora de Educacion Religiosa. Coordina el programa de Confirmación, apoya a los ministerios de su Parroquia y de otras Parroquias con
platicas. También ayuda a otros ministerios dentro de E.U.A y fuera del País, con retiros y platicas para diferentes audiencias. En su País hizo
sus estudios de Misionología y Antropología con Enfasis en Sociales, en la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. Fue Maestra de Escuelas
Secundarias.Ha participado en los Congresos De Educación Religiosa, de Salud y de Sanación desde el Contexto Sacramental en Mexico, en
otros congresos intensivos de formación,cursos de pastoral,colabora en el equipo de Especialización para la Confirmación en la Arquidiócesis
de los Angeles, y en el basico para elemental, apoya en lo que esté dentro de sus posibilidades a la Iglesia.
C-61 - Los Cristianos confiesan su fe. “ Yo Creo”. El Credo de los cristianos se formó a lo largo de varios siglos en medio de luchas
ideológicas sobre la persona de Jesús y su relación con el Dios del antiguo Testamento. En este taller conoceremos las principales
corriente hereticas que trataron de introducir falsas concepciones sobre el misterio de la Encarnación de Cristo y su repercusión en la
obra redentora. Ser Cristiano es ser mártir y ser mártir es ser testigo.
Ms. Beatriz Yepes -Licensiada en Sagrada Escritura - Masters Degree en Teologia Biblica. Compartiendo con alegría el conocimiento de la
palabra de Dios según las propuestas presentadas desde Vaticano II en (DV).

parroquias. Estas son algunas de las preguntas que abordaremos en este tema: ¿Cuál es tu entendimiento de la Doctrina Social de la
Iglesia? ¿De qué manera te ha influenciado la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia en tu vida diaria? ¿Cómo podríamos incorporar la Doctrina Social
de la Iglesia a nuestros ministerios parroquiales? Compartiremos algunos recursos para ser incorporados en tu ministerio.

Arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles asignado a la parroquia Holy Cross en Los Angeles. Ejerce su ministerio como educador y animador misionero con
los Padres y Hermanos Maryknoll. Leonel ha estado predicando, facilitando talleres y retiros misioneros en diferentes diócesis y arquidiócesis de
Estados Unidos. Actualmente Leonel está cursando una Maestria en Teología Pastoral en la Universidad Loyola Marymount en Los Angeles.
